Just a short drive to Monkey World, Kastania Holiday Home provides a perfect base for extended families (we have provided many additional items for young children), special interest groups and wedding guests.

Newly launched in April 2023, the property is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a short break (minimum three nights) or a longer stay. With comfortable accommodation for 7 adults, we can extend sleeping to 11, with trundle bed or cot, day bed in study, and sofa bed in living room. We welcome well behaved pets at an additional fee.

There is a large drive with parking for up to four cars and we have an EV chargepoint (at extra cost).  The rear garden is completely enclosed and has a BBQ, sunshade and outdoor furniture. The conservatory also contains an additional table and chairs for al fresco dining.

Bere Regis is central to many other local attractions making it an ideal base from which to explore  Dorset including Corfe Castle, The Tank Museum, Athelhampton House and Gardens and Farmer Palmers Farm park is a great hit with the little ones. A short drive takes you to the beautiful beaches at Sandbanks, Studland, Swanage, Weymouth, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.

We have two pubs in the village, an excellent Nisa Local shop and filling station. Our historic church is a local landmark with its famous wooden apostles’ roof, interesting pillar carvings and the vault of the Turberville family – it is definitely worth a visit. There are some delightful streamside walks leading to the well-known Mays Wood (Brian May of Queen) which is developing year on year.  Very soon, a new Dorset Wildlife Trust site – ‘Wild Woodbury’ will be more widely available for walkers – and can be seen from the house across the watercress beds.

From it’s location of privilege, cosseted in the centre of the tiny unspoilt hamlet of Upton, where the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline rejoices in the simplicity of nearby Ringstead Bay, the archetypal historical Tithe Barn of Upton Farm stands majestic, as it has done, in part, since 1579. This idyllic construction, and it’s attendant courtyard, however, are now enjoying a renaissance in their present day role – that of providing self catering holiday accommodation, in the traditional ‘country-house’ style, to the discerning visitor.

Having been sympathetically converted into a small number of charismatic holiday cottages, furnished and equipped to the most exacting standards and incorporating many vintage pieces, antiques and luxury items, these unique properties are guaranteed to incite feelings of nostalgia in all but the most barren on souls.

The accepted essentials of modern life juxtapose with romantic historical artefacts and furnishings from a bygone age.  Some bedrooms feature four poster beds,.. log fires grace the lounges of larger homes, deep soft sofas wait to embrace you after your evening meal – taken at your traditional polished wood dining table, or perhaps, al-fresco in the acres of formal gardens that surround the courtyard. With a variety of sizes to accommodate 2,3,4 or 6 persons you have simply to make your choice.

Due to the hillside location of the park, large areas are on a steep incline. The access to reception has 4/5 steps on one side and a disabled access ramp on the other and there are a small number of steps to access all accommodation. Unfortunately, none of the caravans or lodges are adapted for wheelchair users.

White Horse Farm

White Horse Farm, Middlemarsh, Nr. Sherborne, Dorset DT9 5QN

White Horse Farm is situated in the hamlet of Middlemarsh, in the heart of rural Dorset, and is surrounded by miles and miles of glorious unspoilt countryside. There are four tastefully converted and cosy self-catering barn conversion cottages, and a 4star three bed roomed lodge cabin. We are surrounded by 2+ acres of gardens and a large duck pond and paddock. There is an outdoor table tennis table and a recreation room which includes a large DVD & video library, book library, various indoor/outdoor games to borrow and a table football etc. We also have a Finnish style BBQ hut for family get togethers of up to 15 people that will ensure rain or shine a warm cosy place to have some fun.

The farm is within easy reach of Cerne Abbas, the ancient abbey town of Sherborne and the historic market town of Dorchester. Also within easy travelling distance are many lovely coastal attractions including Lulworth Cove, Weymouth and Lyme Regis. Many good local inns are close by and we are only a few hundred yards from the well-recommended “Hunters Moon” pub.
