Longthorns Farm is a small working farm nestled next to Monkey World. The atmosphere is unique to say the least; the morning may bring the sound of Chimpanzees, Gibbons, Lemurs or the boom of tanks as they go about their military exercises.

Longthorns site suits all types of camping. We offer a well-maintained, level site in an un-spoilt atmosphere. You will not find regimented pitches. Fire pits are allowed, conditions apply. On the farm we keep Alpacas, Jersey cross cattle, a few chickens and lastly the horses.

Our aim is to provide quality camping and accomodate for all of your basic needs. We offer Glamping holidays in our Tipis and Shepherds Huts. Our Honesty Shop, April – September is on site stocking free range eggs, tea, coffee, sugar, bacon, sausages and most importantly marsh mallows to toast around the fire. We allow fires which can be hired.

The site is well fenced, with a beautiful backdrop of trees setting the scene, all you would expect to find in the Purbecks. Perfectly located to access the Jurassic Coast with all it’s attractions and beautiful scenery.

Whitemead Caravan Park

Whitemead Caravan Park in Wool, is a stunning family run park found in 51/2 acres of the most beautiful countryside. We take Caravans, Motorhomes, Tents, Campervans and Trailer Tents. The park offers 104 pitches electric, non electric, grass and hardstanding pitches. Facilities available for guests include heated toilet and shower blocks, a laundrette, washing up area.  Wi-Fi is also available (enquire at reception).  There is a games room and children’s play area.  There is an on-site shop stocking camping essentials and groceries.  Pets allowed. Monkey World and The Tank Museum are a short car drive away.  Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door 5 miles away.  Excellent walking and cycling.
