Fox
Fox is a male Mueller’s gibbon (Hylobates muelleri) who was confiscated by the Taiwanese Authorities after he was smuggled into Taiwan for the illegal pet trade. We estimate that Fox was born during 1995 and he arrived at the park on 19/07/00. Fox has lived with a couple of different individuals since being at the park and has always been a kind and playful partner.
Nini
Nini is a male Mueller’s gibbon (Hylobates muelleri) who was confiscated by the Taiwanese Authorities after he had been smuggled into the country for the illegal pet trade. We estimate that Nini was born during 1997 and he arrived at the park on 19/07/00. Nini came to us missing his left arm but still manages to move well around his enclosure. Nini spent his initial years at Monkey World living with male Mueller’s gibbon Fox but now lives with Dalumie at the main gibbon complex.
Dalumie
Dalumie is a female Mueller’s gibbon (Hylobates muelleri) who was confiscated by the Taiwanese Authorities after she was smuggled into Taiwan for the illegal pet trade. We estimate that she was born during 1994 and she arrived at the park on 19/07/00. Dalumie means “girl from mainland China” in Chinese. Dalumie lives with Nini at the main gibbon complex.
