International Orang-utan Day

Celebrate our orange cousins at Monkey World and learn about their tragic plight in the wild, with talks, stalls and trails! On the 19th August, Monkey World are celebrating our orange cousins! Visitors can learn about these amazing creatures, and their plight in the wild.
Compare your arm span to an orangutan, make some fun food feeders and learn about the devastating palm oil industry- as well as seeing our 14 orangutans!

The orangutans live in three groups, which includes Europe’s official orangutan crèche, where orphaned youngsters can grow up with their own kind. There is also an exclusive Orangutan Day Summer Challenge to complete for kids taking part in the summer challenge! Book online at www.monkeyworld.org/book-tickets/

Monkey World provides sanctuary to over 260 rescued and endangered primates of 25 different species. The expert team of primate care staff rehabilitate and integrate the animals into natural living groups. The park is open every day to visitors, and provides fun and education to people of all ages.
