We very much welcome all customer feedback and the following are just a few recent letters and emails that we have received from our kind supporters:

I've watched your programme from when it first started. My daughter Grace, who is 8, now watches it too. She lives it so much, we planned our summer holiday in Poole and made a visit to your centre for the day! Myself, grace, her daddy and her 2 year old brother Max, had one of the best days we've ever had. The park itself was an amazing space, the staff were all very friendly and it was clear the monkeys were happy and chilled out! To top the day off, Grace got a picture with Jeremy, who she loves!!! We will be back and we tell everyone about how amazing you guys are!!
Thanks for the experience!

30 October 2017

On my recent holiday during half term myself, husband and two children decided to spend a day visiting the monkeys as it has been highly recommended by numerous family. After our visit I've been wanting to message to thank you for such a delightful day, and will be soon writing my review on trip advisor. after being told I never quite believed how big the enclosures are. I am extremely amazed with how all the monkeys in your care have such massive and stimulating enclosures (so much more so than other places we have previously visited ) and they are all so obviously loved and looked after, all throughout the centre it was obvious that the monkeys care was the upmost importance. So Thankyou for such a enjoyable day despite patches of rain!

Hi to you all amazing people, My husband and l travelled all the way down from Scotland. Long long journey which my husband drove all the way.

We had come down for my birthday and our Pearl wedding anniversary. We also celebrated 30 years this year. Waking up on Saturday 21st October.to rain wild winds was not on my agenda.

I knew that the beautiful primates wouldn't be out much or at all. We were very downhearted. Just hoped Sunday was going to better.

Woke up on Sunday to sunshine. Happiness. We loaded the car with all our donations. And we're on our way. What a fantastic day. Loved loved it.

Where to begin. All primates were fantastic. They are so lucky to have a happy loving family and to have more freedom.

As an adoptee of Rieke. Orangs are just so laid back and have such a relaxed don't care attitude.

The chimps seem to more boisterous but also so funny. Loved them as well. In fact they all have something to give. They are all so magical.

You are all doing a fantastic job keeping Monkey World alive. I just wish l lived nearer. I think l would become obsessed.

Thanks for the brilliant memories we will have for our 30th.

Sheana and Gary Givan

13 October 2017

I visited Monkey World last week. The last time I visited was 15 yrs ago, with my dear Mum and my 2 young boys.

I have fond memories that I wanted to share with my partner, as I sadly lost mum 2 yrs ago, and she always cared about animal welfare, she was a member of the wwf, and also rescued all pets from the RSPCA. So, because of her, myself and my children all grew up to respect every animal.

Anyway, getting back to my visit, it was amazing, so much had changed, and what I found most amazing was the fact everything in the park has been thought out so carefully  to meet all the visitors needs.

I am a disabled lady, and find it difficult to walk, and my partner finds it difficult to push me in the wheel chair, especially when the terrain changes so much.

I was so pleased to discover that you provide mobility scooters and had a quick lesson from the wonderful Rosie.

Life is hard for me as I miss out on going to so many places, as they are not at all disabled friendly, but I didnt miss a thing when I visited your wonderful park. I wish other places would do the same, as sometimes you are lucky to find a disabled toilet, and when you do, you then have to hunt for someone to unlock it.

What freedoom I had, and my partner too, he could properly enjoy himself without having to just push me.

All of the monkeys melted my heart, and what I love most, is the fact they have nearly all had terrible pasts, but, wow what a future they have now, with all the loving staff caring for them.

Also, the other thing I was impressed about, was the price and standard of the food, as most places are overly priced, I mean a cup of coffee for under 2 pound is great, also the entrance fee is not expensive at all, it means all  families, no matter what can come and visit, without burning a big hole.

The icing on the cake for me was, Lulu, and Bryan were sat in their bedding area, right up against the glass, occasionally grooming each other, then looking up at us humans, as if to say, who an earth are you, and what you doing just staring at us, what joy, to have 2 chimps, right in front of me, and just glass between us, it was very emotional,  exciting, and something I will always remember. It was beautiful,  to the point of me having tears in my eyes, happy tears, and knowing my Mum was walking around with me, knowing I was enjoying life again, thanks to your thought for others, so all can enjoy, not just people without disabilities.

So, thank you so much, one, for all your hard work in rescuing needy monkeys,  two, for the hard work in running the park, three for your kind thoughts for all....

I now live over 250 miles away, but myself and partner will be back next year. Thats for sure. Please let Alison know of my email, as I truly would love to thank her personally for all of her hard work and passion.

Those that work there are truly blessed, and please say hi to Lulu and Bryan for me...

Hi. My son took me to see you last thursday for my upcoming 75 birthday. Please may I say other than the obvious wonderful animals I would like to comment on your staff. Everyone I spoke to was more than helpful and very polite going out of their way to help. Also the cleanliness of the public places was impeccable.

Thank you for a lovely day even though I had to leave all those lovely babies behind.

I was very impressed by the set up here, you have definintly catered for all needs both animal and human.  I have watched the tv series and to see it for real was fantastic.
I realise that this is an enquiry box but i could not find where to send my comments.
All the staff need to be congratulated for caring so much.

A huge  thank you for a really lovely day. From the moment I booked our group in at the desk the warmth and friendliness was super. No rushing the party who were elderly. We all wandered off different  directions.  I was amazed at how big the enclosures were . ( I did not enjoy zoo visits many years ago .) Today  the  space and calm atmosphere despite a lot of people could be felt and the animals looked so good . I know they probably have their  “off” days but I left for home feeling privileged to have visited an awesome group of animals .

To the staff: for your friendliness , talks and  general courtesy  a sincere thank you. Our party did not know where they were  going. It was a Mystery trip and their reaction on our coach turning in was a relief to me. They were guessing at every junction and that added to the fun.

A happy group returned home and full of thanks for a great day out.

I wish you continued success  with your caring of the  wonderful and some mischievious animals we met today.

We visited you on Thursday last and would like to say how much we enjoyed our visit.  My husband did bring his own boot scooter but perhaps next time we will have one of yours.  We thought facilities for the disabled were excellent.

Here's to our next visit.

30 August 2017

My wife Jax, my Daughter Emma and myself visited your park yesterday (Tuesday 29th August) and would like to say thank you for a wonderful day! We have seen your park on TV many times and some time ago decided to visit as part of Emma’s 21st Birthday. We are from Essex, so are staying at Durdle Door campsite in our tourer for the week! I have to say the highlight of the day was seeing Gordon doing his 'High Wire Act' across his pen! See attached photo! It is a pleasure to see animals in as natural environment as is possible and am in admiration of the work Jim Cronin started and many people who have carried on his legacy.

Thank you again and keep up the great work that you are all doing!

Jax, Emma and Ray

30 August 2017

Me and my mom have just had a 4 night stay in Wool. Our visit was to come to Monkey World and we ended coming to see you 3 days in a row.  We had a fabulous time and I was so impressed with everything I thought I would send you an email. It was a privilege to spend time with these beautiful animals especially at their bedding down times. The staff are great. The keeper who did the chimp talk  on Monday  the 28th August ( sorry didn't get the lads name) was especially lovely. It was great to have a chat with someone who knew the animals which made it more real to us if that makes sense. He said he only has been there for 7 months but came across as very knowledgeable. He recognised us later in the day and made us feel valued. Fabulous member of staff. The park was spotless and so big. What was great was the disability friendly access especially as there were so many benches. We both suffer with arthritis and it was especially comforting knowing that we could rest in between the long walks. We delivered our two big bags of food for the animals so I  am sure the animals will get loads of treats. We have only been home one day and I am already planning my next visit.
Thank you all once again for all your hard work and commitment to monkey world. I have come home with a passion and a love of monkey world even more and I am looking forward to visiting you all again.

 God bless you all

  Jayne and Margaret

30 August 2017

Hi monkey world. Me and my two daughters visited you today and we all wanted to say what an amazing day we've had. You should be so proud of the work you all do. We were amazed at how lovely the park was and all the enclosures were fantastic, so big and spacious.
We will sure visit again.

Steff, Megan and Georgia Astbury

14 August 2017

We all had a fabulous day and our boys loved meeting all the primates from Monkey Life. Among the highlights were the talks - they were informative but what shone through was the bond and love the staff have for the individual characters. The tours were fully booked but we will definitely visit again as the boys have adopted Tien and Pacito so fingers crossed we will be lucky with a tour next time. Congratulations on all your hard work and the wonderful job you are doing.

Being over 80 my wife and I have become fanatical viewers of all the Monkey World TV episodes but last night 9th August 2017 on PICK we were moved more than ever for ages when it depicted the Chimps preparing for bed with their straw, blankets being made into comfort zones.
If only DVD`s of Monkey World TV episodes were marketed I think you would achieve a further success.
We cannot stop talking about the adorable and entertaining Chimps as they prepared for bed and only wish we had a momento of that programme.
All your staff have introduced a much needed attentive,t houghtful, and loving attitude onto TV which has been missing for years, And Dr Cronin you are withought doubt worthy of every accolade.
To old to see Monkey World for real now but the pleasure you all have given viewrs will always be seen and remembered as THE BEST EVER TV PROGRAMME.
Our sincere best wishes

John Hall

6 August 2017

Hi - I just wanted to compliment you on offering gluten free food at your park.  We visited yesterday for the first time since my daughter was diagnosed as Coeliac.  It was really nice for her to be able to have a hotdog and your staff member was most helpful with checking the actual sausage for allergens.
Well done and thank you.

6 August 2017

I just wanted to say how amazing I think you and your team are at Monkey World. I've been a few times but nothing gives you the detail you'd like until you watch Monkey Life. What you have set out to do and what you continue to achieve on a daily basis is spectacular. I've visited a few times now and can only hope to visit in a more personal term one day rather than watching from the outside.
You must feel so much reward at the end of the day and that's down to you guys.
I will be visiting again very soon and can't wait.
Just wanted to share my thoughts with you and how brilliant you all are.

24 July 2017

My husband and I travelled down from Glasgow to see for ourselves the amazing place we watch every week on television and we were even more amazed by our "real life " view. Every species of primate was in such beautiful condition. The woolly monkeys were more powerful looking in the flesh!!
Our tour with Robert was superb, like walking round with a knowledgeable friend. The prices at the Restaurants were so reasonable and the quality excellent. All the staff were so pleasant, couldn't have asked for more..............except, may I make a suggestion. I bought lots of souvenirs of our visit, in particular, "Sally" things. But was disappointed that I couldn't send Sally postcards to friends to show our "adopted daughter"!   I think it would be a good idea to have postcards of the adopted primates.. However, no complaints. Seven and half hour journey from Glasgow, but I can't wait to do it all again. Thank you all so much for the wonderful work you do. Love to you all.

9 July 2017

My family visited the park for the first time on 30 June and booked a motorised scooter for my father.  We just wanted to say how delighted we were with the accessibility, he was able to see everything and had a great time.

We look forward to the next visit!

23 June 2017

Dear All at Monkey World,
I watch the tv programme filmed at Monkey World on an almost daily basis and I have learnt so much that I feel ashamed for how ignorant and thoughtless I was before. I am in awe of the work that you do and Alison's and other's indefatigable energy.
We spent the day at Monkey World yesterday and it did not disappoint. It was a privilege the see the animals in as near natural conditions as can be achieved in the UK and I was both saddened and sickened at reading what some of them had suffered before coming to you. How can people live with themselves if they torture and mistreat these wonderful creatures ?
We had a guided tour with Robert. We had expected a group of about 20 people, instead of which we had him to ourselves, for just the 4 of us, which was wonderful. His tour was the highlight of the day, as he was so knowledgeable and so committed to making sure that we enjoyed the experience.
I was pleasantly surprised at all of your prices, throughout Monkey World. We have been taking an American friend around various castles, museums etc and found their food, mementos etc to be very expensive. Not the case at Monkey World, where all the items were very reasonable.
I am going straight onto the Amazon gift page now, to order some locust and other treats, and I will get great pleasure from thinking of the apes etc enjoying them.

Keep up your superb work.

Hilary Tilby

June 2017

Finally visited for thefirst time in May. Stayed at your accommodation at the new Hideway.

I was taken somewhat by surprise during my visit, I was so emotional. Distraught at the past cruelty but so thankful the primates have found a loving, caring home. I have to give a big shout to the staff working at Monkey World.

Our first encounter was with Kevin at the entrance to the site. What a wonderful man. So welcoming, helpful and happy, such an infectious smile and he was like this with everyone. I just had to give him a hug, hence the photo

The catering staff - at the cafe next to Hananya's group - were lovely. From the youngsters serving to the special ladies who were servicing the tables, especially these ladies.

The primate staff who gave the talks, how knowledgeable and committed are they!! And always had tme to answere any questions.

I felt such at home there and could have just camped myself there for the duration of my stay.

I had a wonderful time, thank you to everyone.

My family and myself would just like to say that we had an amazing day at your park. Due to having many health problems it's been very difficult to plan a visit to your park and so finally after 10 years we have managed to get to the park. Once at the park we were looked after at the gate and quickly given a mobility scooter by your great staff.
The food in your Treetops restaurant was enjoyed by all nine of us that attended your park today and we would happily recommend the park to friends and other family members.  All staff were polite and keen to answer all of our questions and just as we were making our way towards the gift shop I managed to not only see, but to speak to Jeremy which made my day;. The work that you all do at the park and elsewhere is truly amazing.
My partner and I are already planning a second visit in august and are looking forward to watching series 10 as soon as it's released.
Thank you for an amazing day

It has been on my bucket list to visit for a long time.  I had such a wonderful day today.  Thank you for your amazing work.

11 May 2017

I just wanted to say my husband and I visited Monkey World yesterday and had a brilliant time. I've been watching the program on television although because we have cable we are apparently behind with our viewing. I have wanted to visit for some time and you didn't disappoint. The work you do is amazing and it was really great to see all the monkeys happy and healthy in such wonderful enclosures. So much better than in a zoo. We are both disabled and it was great to be able to borrow mobility scooters instead of struggling to get ours in and out of the car after a long drive from Cardiff. I spoke to one of your members of staff who was very patient and didn't mind me asking about the different monkeys though I was sad to hear Pip had passed away. I wanted to say keep up the good work you all do. You're fantastic.

25 April 2017

Just need to say a huge 'THANK YOU' to everyone at Monkey World for such a wonderful day spent with you last Saturday.   My daughter and son-in-law arranged for me not only to come and visit you,but also for a guided tour as part of my birthday present. We thoroughly enjoyed Jennie's company and the knowledgeable tour she gave us  -  a dedicated lady indeed.  Your work with these apes is truly commendable -  what a healthy, happy bunch they all are.....we will come again and will also support you with donations in the near future.
THANK YOU ALL AGAI

23 April 2017

Hi, everyone at Monkey World, I am just writing to say what a marvellous job you all do. I have recorded about 60 of monkey life and am getting through them slowly. My daughter adopted Ben for me for Christmas 2015, he was a little chimp then and I was very surprised to see how he's grown, I admire Alison for keeping so strong after losing Jim, and Jeremy is so dedicated to all the primates, oh to swap places with him for a day and get a cuddle off a chimp! I bought Jeremy's book " Jeremy and Amy" and thought it was very good, I was hoping to try and visit Monkey World but I'm in Manchester with no car and it's quite a few miles to travel, but I'll get there one day. A lot of the coaches go for 3 days but only visit Monkey World for one day, I'd like 7 days!
Anyway sorry if I'm boring you, I just wanted to let you all know you are all appreciated so much.

Sue Harrison

18 April 2017

My family and I spent a day in Monkey World yesterday. We travelled from South Molton in North Devon. We watch Monkey Business and Monkey Life and have fallen in love with the animals in your care. It was just so nice to see these animals for real and not on a television screen. The park is such a nice place to be and the animals are so well cared for. Thankyou for doing the job you all do, you are all wonderful people. Only one disappointment.... we didn't see Jeremy, lol. Never mind, next time maybe.

Having visited MW a couple of weeks ago, after being obsessed with watching it on tv, I just had to say what a wonderful day out we had.  I can only imagine the huge amount of work undertaken by Alison, Jeremy and all the primate carers and have nothing but praise for you all in what you do.  The knowledge and skill of all the staff involved (I hesitate to call them 'staff' as I imagine they are more like a big family) is humbling. We will most definitely visit again and again and again.  I just have to decide now which/how many primates to adopt.   Please pass my thanks and admiration to all at MW for their continued dedication in saving and looking after these wonderful primates.

18 April 2017

Not an enquiry, but a message to say thank you so much. I visited Monkey world today and had the most fantastic time. I have been watching monkeyworld on the television for rather a long time and can't get enough of it, so, visiting was always on  my list of 'to do' things. The care you take of all primates there is so wonderful to see. The gorgeous orangutans did not disappoint. I love them. Also the fabulous woolley monkey. This is not to say the rest are not also great. You are doing a fantastic job, keep up the great work. Jeremy - thank you for taking the time  out of  your busy schedule to answer this morning when I said how much I had enjoyed reading your book. Can I just say what an inspirational man you are. Next on my list is to sponser one of the primates, so I will be back in touch soon. Alison - keep going with rescuing any primate in need of your care and attention. You really are the best!

17 April 2017

I visited Monkey world today, and while the work you all do is deserved of high praise, I also want to thank you for your attention to visitors who have special needs and disabilities. I have worked with quadriplegic CP for the past 3.5 years and so couldn't help but notice your beautiful VI sculptures and wheelchair swing! Such attention and inclusion prompted me to send a much deserved and joyful "thankyou" message. Thank you for making the park more accessible and enjoyable for everyone

16 April 2017

I have waited 20 years before I finally got to Monkey World. I have always wanted to visit but never got around to do so until this Easter. At Xmas my brother’s family adopted Busta as a gift to me and it finally gave me to push to do the 545 miles round trip to visit. It was everything I had hoped it to be. The talks were great and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I will hopefully be down again in the summer as we all thoroughly enjoyed the park. Keep up the amazing work you do. Thanks Wayne Georgia Charlotte and David.

My name is Chloe and im 10 yrs old.  I just wanted to send you an email to say how much fun I had at Monkey World last week.  Me and my mum and dad had a brilliant time, mummy adopted Ben and i took some great pictures and videos of thelma and her group.

Thelma is the chimp I adopted and it was amazing to see her. My dad loved watching the woolly monkeys and thought they were great. We watched every episode of monkey life and it was great to come to the park for the day and see all the primates in real life.

One day I really want to be a zookeeper and look after animals myself.

I've asked my dad if we can come back in the may half term and he said yes, so I'm really excited to see all the animals again really soon.

16 April 2017

I visited monkey world in March this year for the second time.  I just wanted to pass on my feedback from both visits. On both visits to the park the customer service I experienced from every staff member I encountered was fantastic, from  staff at main gate, staff at food stalls and shop. This made a fab Park even better,as a visitor I was made to feel like a valued customer. Thank-you to all staff, keep up the amazing work.

Nic Chaney

15 April 2017

I'm sure you get many emails like this but I just wanted to say I recently visited monkey world and I had a lovely day, you can see how happy the monkeys and apes are and this really made me smile. I spent the whole time going round saying aw or cute. I can't wait to come back in the next few months. I don't think I have a favourite part of monkey world all of it is amazing.

I'd like to say a big thank you to you all for the wonderful work you do. I visited the park on Monday 13th of March for my birthday surprise with my son + daughter-in-law. Having traveled from Swansea it was well worth the 6 hr car ride. Thank you all...see you soon.x

2 March 2017

My husband and I came to Monkey World on Thursday 2nd March on one of our honeymoon days out. We had the best time and it was so lovely to see all the happy healthy safe monkeys. Your staff were fantastic; everyone we passed said hello and even stopped to answer questions. It really was a memorable day for us, one we will look back on for years to come... thank you so much.

5 February 2017

I would like to thank all the staff at Monkey World for their kindness during our visit on Sunday. It was our first visit, but not our last, and the whole experience was fantastic. Special mentions to the people who sorted out the electric wheelchair, such a great thing for getting her around the park, the girls in the shop who looked for the items we wanted, the tour guide, sorry I forget his name [Bob], the keepers who gave the information talks and Jeremy who took the time to talk to Jo and happily have his picture taken. Everyone else who is involved in the running of the park and the welfare of the animals. Will be making sure we adopt one through your scheme next week, just deciding who, and hopefully see you soon. Keep up the great work.

Ian Today-Hatton

3 February 2017

I was at monkey world for a short visit yesterday, I only had 3 hours to spare because of a long drive, I'm very glad that I made the choice of stopping at Monkey World. The park can be summed up in one word "AWESOME", I have been to many parks around the UK and Monkey World is definitely in the top two in my eyes, and I'm sure that you are by far and away the best monkey and ape rescue centre there is on this planet. to see such healthy (physically and mentally) monkey's and apes is inspiring. The park is incredibly well looked after clean, tidy and the enclosures are out of this world. You all do a fantastic job and I hope that you are around for a very long time.  I will definitely be back one day and this time I will spend a full day and take some more time there. Particular highlights for me were the Chimps who are just stunning to share eye contact with a chimp even though it was through glass is something I will never forget and I couldn't forget one of my favourites the capuchins who are hysterical. Thank you so much for existing, and well done to all the team at monkey world, keep up the wonderful work.

7 January 2017

I attended the Woolly Monkey keeper talk today, and I just wanted to say what a great presentation she did considering her audience (e.g. screaming children, ignoring parents and childish teenagers). It highlighted a personal close bond between keeper staff and animal with a high level of knowledge of the species and the patience of a saint!!

As we have adoption passes we try to get to Monkey World as often as possible. We have always found it to be a great and interesting day out the work carried out there is phenomenal so congratulations to you all.The staff have always been helpful and friendly to everyone. We are both disabled and until this visit have always tried to walk round the park, however this is no longer possible so we used the mobility scooters that you have, the difference was amazing we were able to get round comfortably so thank you for this thought. As I say all the staff have always been great however on Wednesday 4/1/17 the gentleman who was overseeing the letting out of the scooters, filling in forms, explaining how to use them etc. went that one step further. He couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and really made us feel that he cared about us personally. When we returned the scooters he spent time finding out how our day went. We feel that people are quick to complain but not always so
quick to praise. we would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks to him he's a star. Keep up the good work we will be back in the near future.

20 October

Today (20th October), my husband and I took our 3 year old daughter to your park. We thought it was fantastic! But of special note were the fabulous staff. From the cafe and shop to your keepers and maintenance team- they were all super friendly. The kind lady who sold us our ticket set the standard which was very high! Even the chap who was cleaning the mobility scooters first thing this morning gave us a very cheery hello!
So, a big thanks to them all. Oh and great soft play area!!

15 October 2016

After being an avid watcher of Monkey World for many years, today I had the pleasure of visiting. I was very impressed with very aspect of my visit. It was a pleasure to see such happy animals in such a beautiful setting. I can't fault any of the day, all the staff where so friendly, even the young girl on the payment kiosk who was most apologetic when she told us that a tour had to be booked in advance......this I shall do on my next visit. Once again a huge sincere thank you for a lovely day. I really can't recommend Monkey World enough.

I just want to thank you not only for the wonderful work you are doing for all the monkeys/apes but also for making a visit to your rescue centre such a wonderful and memorable day for all that visit. a year ago I had knee surgery (walking had become almost impossible) and whilst recovering I had the time to watch the programmes about your work in the early day on tv. I promised myself that if I recovered and was able to walk relatively well I would make the trip to see your centre for myself. last week I eventually made that trip and it was just wonderful. I loved every minute. (even if I did manage to pick the one day it decided to rain) the monkeys/apes were so lovely (but in a real way not an orchestrated fashion) all the staff were so pleasant, helpful, and knew their stuff. i listened to the talks about the different groups, and read the info and came away having learnt a lot. to see the 'stars' of the show such as Lulu, Sally, Gordon, not to mention seeing Jeremy busy pushing a barrow through the grounds and to get directions from Mike to one of the areas. it was just a magical and memorable day. i will be back. thank you so very much both for the wonderful work you do to rescue these fellows but also to educate us about them as well.

Just a note to say that finally after watching Monkey World on TV for years we finally got to visit in person on Tuesday 13th Sept and it was everything we expected. To finally see all the monkeys we have known and loved in the flesh was truly wonderful.
From having a monkey called Cathy and a maiden name of Cronin I felt right at home and made the 900 mile round trip from Scotland worthwhile

Thanks to everyone

17 September 2016

We visited you on Thursday last and would like to say how much we enjoyed our visit.  My husband did bring his own boot scooter but perhaps next time we will have one of yours.  We thought facilities for the disabled were excellent. Here's to our next visit.

I want to thank you for a wonderful visit on 6 and 7 September.  Everything was perfect including the weather.  From the pleasant, helpfull staff organising scooters to the tour and keepers' talks it totally fulfilled expectations.  It was well worth the long journey from Skye.
Congratulations on the wonderful work you are doing.

Just wanted to say myself and my daughter visited you not long ago, i hired a wheelchair, free! we were so happy to see the wonderful enclosures your animals are in! Easy to see that every effort possible goes into caring for these beautiful creatures! We will be back next year for sure!

6 September 2016

My disabled daughter and myself are avid viewers of  monkey life on tv. We came to visit yesterday for the first time. We were impressed with the park , seeing it all for ourselves we were amazed at how much has been done to give the inhabitants plenty to do in playing and foraging for food. We laughed so much at their antics, especially how they seem to tease photo takers by staying still and then moving before the photo could be taken. In all we had a great day out my son drove us and was expecting to be bored silly but admitted that he too loved every minute you are doing a great job, it is so great to see how happy all the animals are and the smaller ones are soooo cute.

I would love to say a big thank you for a wonderful day out. After watching the television show, I came and was so happy with the day I am planning my next visit. I give your staff 10 marks out of 10.

24 August 2016

Hi, I have watched monkey world on TV for so long and have now finally been to see it for myself. We came yesturday, the 23rd August and I have to say what a truly amazing magical place. I loved every second and am totally in love with monkeys especially the chimps and orangutans. What a pleasure to see all the animals are clearly so loved and well cared for. I live a long way from monkey world in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, but if I ever get chance to return I'll be there like a shot. I'm so happy to have been and will remember the day for ever..

22 August 2016

I came to monkey world a few week back and I would like to write to say I was very happy and pleased with my experience. I had an amazing time and have recommended monkey world to a lot of family and friends , it was fantastic to see the monkeys in a safe place who have come from such bad lives.
Very happy with my experience and I will be returning again.

Dear Alison and all the Staff at monkey world
My partner and I visited monkey world today 20/8/2016 after watching most of the series on tv, we enjoyed the whole experience, it was lovely to see the primates in there near normal habitat and to see a few we recognised from the series. The memorial of Jim and Charlie was amazing and brought a tear to my eye.We will be coming back very soon as we enjoyed it that much and would recomend the visit to anyone who is thinking of visiting we have already told family and friends how amazing it was and to see how well it is run and how clean the primates are lving in a truely wonderful experience see you all again soon.

18 August 2016

I have visited for the third time today with my husband and daughter.  We have had a great day (as expected!) but I particularly wanted to compliment all the staff at the entry point, gift shop and food outlets. They were all helpful, polite and professional. Well done to all concerned.

Vicki Turner

18 August 2016

I was at Monkey World this past Tuesday 16th and as someone who is registered blind I would like to say how amazing it is to visit somewhere that caters so well for the needs of their disabled visitors. Your staff were kind and patient while showing me the sensory statues and answering my questions about the Apes and Monkeys, One even stopped to ask me if I had access to the statues. I really appreciated their willingness to make sure that I had an enjoyable day! So once again thank you to all at Monkey World for having the statues in first place and secondly having such wonderful staff - and amazing animals!

Hello!  We stayed in one of the flats earlier this month and I just wanted to thank you so much for a fantastic experience.  We loved the flat and particularly enjoyed the early entry to the park.  We most definitely want to come back again. I took hundreds of pictures and thought I would share a few.

My lovely 9 year old son is autistic. He adores Monkey Life on the tv. I'm sat at the Great Ape Play area right now while he has a climb. All he's ever wanted is to visit. I wanted to let you know how wonderful this place is. Although there are hundreds of visitors today, you don't 'pamper' to them. This place is for the animals. All the enclosures have the primates at their heart with adequate opportunity for human viewing. The environment throughout is beautiful. The facilities are great - the play areas get a big thumbs up from Bren.

Well done - it's beautiful place to visit and I have one happy boy with me today.

Annie and Breandán Grady

10 August 2016

We have seen the TV programs many times and as we were staying near to Monkey World we though we'd visit. I have to say what a truly wonderful place it is. The animals are cared for amazingly well and it's so obvious they are all loved by the staff. We had a lovely day and although parts were very sad when we read the stories behind the faces it's wonderful how much work you have all done in make the future of these lovely creatures so perfect and just what they all deserve. We will be visiting again when we're in the area and I'm sure more visits will follow in the years to come. I just had to write just to say 'thank you' for everything you do for all the lovely monkeys you save.
See you again soon!

8 August 2016

Wanted to say that I along with some of my family visited your park yesterday. What a wonderful day out we had, and to top it all off I even saw a little deer. Just wanted to say Thankyou to everyone who works so hard to keep this excellent place running . I am sure Jim will be looking down with great pride. Thanks !! Ps we didn't even have children, well I did but my son is 46 !!

Mrs Lin Eaton

7 August 2016

Let me start by saying how wonderful the work you're doing is and how brilliantly run and presented the park was, when we visited in early July. I don't usually leave comments or email places we have visited but this time words from my 7 year old Lego mad son has prompted me. When he was asked about the best part of his holiday he immediately responded "monkey world, it was better than Lego land" and as his mother trust me this is high praise.

7 August 2016

After visiting Monkey World today 7/8/2016 I would like to pass on to you how amazed I was at how all the staff are committed to looking after these lovely animals. I have always been a big fan of Monkey World that is still shown on T.V and to see how immaculate the living areas were and how happy all the monkeys were in their enviroments. Well done to everyone and a pat on the back to all for the great work you do.

Yvonne Daniels

31 July 2016

Just to say what a wonderful job you all do at monkey world fantastic people keep up the great work you all do with all the primates that you look after and treat with respect.

Once again a wonderful place for these primates

30 July 2016

Myself, mother, sister, son and nephew visited monkey world yesterday (29-07-2016), we travelled from s.wales (3&1/2 hours) and we were so impressed by your grounds, how well the residents were looked after, the staff and the overall experience.
We will be leaving a review on trip advisor but we also wanted to email monkey world personally. As enthusiasts of the show it was wonderful to visit in person.

The care for the residents was clear for all to see and it was a fabulous experience.

25 July 2016

My husband and I visited Monkey World on the 12th July 2016, and we just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our trip and think that the work you do is fantastic.

Our tour guide was great (unfortunately I cannot remember the gentleman's name but our tour was at 10am) It was great to be guided around the park especially as we are keen watchers of the tv programme!

We cannot wait to visit Monkey World again and plan to visit with our niece soon as we think she will love as much as us!

Jessica McCormack

21 July 2016

I really wish I was able to visit Monkey World, you are all doing such a wonderful job of looking after so many mistreated primates.  I also must say that I am so ashamed that my much loved country has not done anything with regards to the treatment of Marmosets, Tamarins, Capuchins etc. (Too many to mention). Such beautiful wild animals need to loved and cared for by caring professionals, after being torn away at a very young age from their parents.  Keep up the good work.

Pamela Kirby

13 July 2016

We hope that you remain proud of both the work you do and the commitment you show in making sure the welfare of the wonderful primates you have rescued and now look after continues to be maintained. Our visit was a wonderful experience and one we will reflect upon many times in the future. It is clear that you will always go that extra mile to make sure the legacy of Jim Cronin is fully fulfilled and the great work he started will always be continued. It is heartening to know that in a world that, at times, can appear both cruel and daunting there are organisations of excellence and care such as Monkey World that can be relied upon to show the true capability of human caring. Thank you so much for a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

9 July 2016

Just want to let you know we had a lovely stay in the flat.  Much bigger than we were expecting it to be!  Hot shower and comfy bed.  Debbie was very friendly and helpful.

We also loved the luxury of having the park to ourselves for that first hour. We called in again on our way home just to hear the gibbons sing.  Magical.   The bacon sandwiches were much more substantial than we were expecting, cooked to our requirements, and lovely fresh bread.  We bought a couple of sandwiches to travel home with, knowing we wouldn’t find fresher.  We did see on some trip advisor reviews that the food was expensive.  We don’t know where they were buying their food!

Susanne on the gate gave us a lovely welcome each morning. Our tour with Bob on Wednesday was well worth it. He was friendly and very informative. Thanks to Mike to stepping up to his role as a tv star and taking time each morning to say “hello”.  Mike, I still want that earring!

It was a magical, wonderful way to spend our 25th wedding anniversary.

The only suggestion I’d like to make is, you don’t currently offer “experiences”. We are aware that you offer a photography session.  A similar session for people who don’t have great cameras, or suitable skills, but would like a bit of a different view for a special occasion may be worth considering.  We would certainly have paid for one.   This is meant as a suggestion for future events/fundraising options, rather than a criticism.  The whole trip was fantastic, all the staff were friendly, and seeing the apes and monkeys in a natural setting made the work you do so much more poignant, especially the capuchins.

Thank you.

Karen & Paul Salisbury

9 July 2016

I was on the photography tour yesterday (8th) and just wanted to let you know what a fantastic time I had! I was quite star struck when I met Mike having watched him on the TV but he is so down to earth that within minutes it felt like we were all friends having a good chat! We were so lucky with the primates we saw - I even got to see my adopted Chimp Simon giving a piggy back to Thelma which was just amazing! Gordon did his high wire walk for us all and Seamus threw mud at us (well he tried but Mike had already steered us out of the way - tool old Mike!) - typical batchelor behaviour I would think!!

Mike's knowledge & passion are second to none and the guys you have working there are so friendly - every one of them said hello to us on our way round including Jeremy on his bike which was another star struck moment!! It was so inspirational I really felt like rolling up my sleeves and getting stuck in helping to clean out the bedrooms!!!

I was so excited about the whole experience that al lot of my photos were under/over exposed as I couldn't think straight to get the settings right on my camera, however I did manage to get a few pretty good ones which I will forward to you if you are interested?? I am having trouble identifying the primates that I took pictures of but to be honest I was just so happy to see them all happy and living a good life that it does;t matter which photo is of who!

There is so much to see and do at the park that I had way too little time yesterday so I am going to come again and make a weekend or few days of it. Keep up the good work and see you all again soon!

Sarah Howard

3 July 2016

We drove from the Midlands To visit Monkey World, well worth the trip. We were met by 'Mike' famous from the TV programme, and quite a celebrity, lots of selfies asked for!! He was delightful, he took us on a paid tour of all of the primates, explaining their plight and their rescue from different countries all over the world. Now they all look happy and free, and the space that they have is amazing. We finished our tour at the memorial to Jim Cronin, who must be very proud of what Alison, Jeremy, Mike and all of the staff at the Monkey World Rescue Centre are doing to carry on his work. I will visit again as I have adopted Gordon and want to see him and his crew again. Thank you all at Monkey World for the work that you do.

28 June 2016

Just wanted to say what a fantastic day we had yesterday (monday) . all the animals are so relaxed in perfict surroundings.and it was great to relate to a chimp and cappochin at my level. The chimp was copying my head movement and cappuchin was playing peek a boo much to the amusement of other visitors. A day I shall always remember. Thankyou all

Phil Strange

26 June 2016

we would like to thank you a lot for those 4 amazing days we could spend in the Monkey World. Recently we have become an adoptive parents for Amy + Silvester so we decided to visit them and after that we could learn that all of you are one great team which takes care  of all the primates living in there with all your love and this makes them feeling very happy. It is just being a fantastic job you are doing there, honestly!
We are already looking forward to visiting you again soon.

25 June 2016

I just wanted to send you this picture of my favourites, " The uglies ", I just love their gorgeous serenemanor, I am so happy they have experienced some freedom in their lives.
You are an amazing team, whom I have followed since day one of your programme, it's great to have been able to see Gordan grow into such a handsome chap !
Long may monkey world continue !

16 June 2016

My family and I had a wonderful day at the rescue centre we all felt very emotional at Jim and Charlie,s memorial what a lovely peaceful place.
We have just seen the TV program on koko the gorilla, what a contrast to the work you do I felt very sad for her, almost a ruined life compared to the life you give your residents.Thank you for letting us share their home and the caring loving natural environment you have created
Very best wishes and thanks to you all

15 June 2016

We have just came home from a 3 night stay in Dorset where our purpose for the trip was to visit Monkey World which we did 3 times in the space of time we were there and we would like to say it was well worth our 7 hour journey there and 6 hour journey back! We firstly would like to say how stunning the animals are and how beautifully they are being cared for.
Alison and the team are doing a really wonderful thing and I hope it carries on for many years to come, how anyone could hurt these marvelous creatures is beyond us.
We would like to say a special thanks to Bob who took us around on our guided tour, he was very knowledgeable and a very nice warm person, ideal for the role!
we are already planning to come back next year, we only wish we didn't live so far away as we would be there everyday!
We will carry on supporting Monkey World through our sponsor's  and we are hoping to send some shoe boxes for Christmas.
Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Vicky and Gary Carter

14 June 2016

We spent the day with you on the 10th June2016 and just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for giving us such a lovely day.
Your prices are very reasonable and affordable for families. We are both senior citizens and I have MS and the buggy was brilliant for me and I was so surprised that you got your deposit back, making them free.
We visited Stonehenge and the price for us Seniors was over £13 each which in my opinion was extortionate  plus £3 for audio tapes - so it was so nice to come to Monkey World and find such good value.
Not only were your prices good, you gave free information at each enclosure. We saw people having their own picnics.
I sponsored your capuchin monkeys, because I wanted to give you some help in what you are doing, because I felt I hadn't been ripped off. You and all your staff had given help, information, value for money and of course enjoyment.
Once again thank you all. We travelled from Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire to visit you all and it was well worth making the trip, and will recommend you to everyone.

Susan Simpson

10 June 2016

Just a few lines to thank you for a great day out today. The centre has certainly come on apace since we last visited several years ago. We were particularly impressed with the quality and value for money of your catering. Keep up the good work!

19 May 2016

I would just like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all the staff for my daughter's 9th birthday party which took place on Saturday 14th May.

All the staff were fantastic and the day was enjoyed by all. I woul like to say a special thank you to Diana who was excellent, she was so helpful when it came to the food in the cafe and nothing was a problem for her.

12 May 2016

Yesterday my friend and I visited Monkey World for the first time and I have to say how impressed we both were.  As well as being a well laid out site for the important residents, you have thought of everything for the visitor too.  We were impressed with the cleanliness of the site and appreciate how much hard work goes into maintaining it.  At our coffee morning today we had to tell others of our trip and, as a result, have had quite a bit of interest so it looks as if another visit is on the cards.

To conclude, we had an enjoyable time - especially looking at the baby orangs but I was slightly surprised - and in a way disappointed - at how well behaved the batchelor boys were! Perhaps they will be more rowdy on
our next trip.

Now I must go to your gift shop site to buy something I nearly bought yesterday!  Well done to everyone there.

Joan Rosher

18 April 2016

Just to say what an amazing time we had even in the rain !! when we came last week - I first came to Monkey World in 1993 (when I was 20)!!! and last week brought my own children back to see Monkey World, they have watched Monkey Life and thought they knew all of the characters personally !  we all loved it. How the place has grown from my first visit in 1993.
well done and keep up the good work !

15 April 2016

I visited your park on 5th of April with my husband and my son as a surprise birthday treat for me by them. Unfortunately, my son got a splinter in his finger so we went to first aid near the lemur walkthrough. The lady there, surname Evans, was fantastic. Unfortunately my son has ADHD/special needs and was upset and very anxious about the whole process. She took her time, practically 1hr, and constantly reassured my son until we were able to get it out on his terms. She kept him at ease which in turn, kept me at ease keeping the whole situation calm and not frightening for him. I just wanted to pass on my thanks and let the park know as it made such a difference to the day her actions with my son as he can get anxious, wound up and physical when scared which is then frightening for him making the situation worse. She is definitely an asset to the park and is fantastic with children, and parents!
I hope this makes sense and it comes across how grateful I am for what she did, even though I know it's her job, she was just fab and made his 1st experience of splinters and first aid a "happy" non scary experience making it hopefully easier in the future.

Thank you again

Jennifer Morfey

8 April 2016

Just wanted to say thank you for having a single parent price. As a single mum with 2 boys it usually works out the same price for my family as a family of 4 as they can often get a discounted ticket. I wish everyone was as forward thinking as you.

5 April 2016

I visted Monkey World for the first time yesterday, having recently signed up as an adoptive parent (of Carli) after becoming hooked by the brilliant Monkey Business programme.

It really is such a fantastic place, and we had a wonderful time. All of the apes and monkeys looked so happy and relaxed in their environments - and it was great to see how genuinely fascinated some of them seemed to be by their strange array of human visitors!

The talks were definitely a highlight - especially the one at the gibbons enclosure. (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name, but she was clearly so passionate about the animals, and so knowledgeable - and she covered so much, at a great pace, all without the aid of a microphone. Several children were sitting at her feet throughout the talk, completely mesmerised - and Mikado did a great job of providing some pretty spectacular visuals to accompany the talk!). It was great to see the dedication and enthusiasm of all the staff for the animals in their care. Please pass on our thanks.

Once again, I just want to thank you for a wonderful day - and for all the incredible work that you do.

Rachel Boxall

6 April 2016

Would just like to say had a lovely day. We gave a shoe box in at entrance and staff was really thankful for the box and did not mind having a few words with my daughter. Your doing a fantastic job at park. Keep up the great work. Was worth the 4 hour drive. Will be back at some point in future.

Daniel Crundwell

29 March 2016

I am a huge fan of the programme and must admit I am addicted to it.

I so admire all the work that you do for the species. The dedication of the staff is fantastic.I hope that when you rescue a specie that has been cruelly treated that those persons responsible are brought to justice.

Take care and thanks for all the enjoyment you give sharing your Monkey World.

Mo Paynter

28 March 2016

I am just sending this email to say how much me and my family enjoyed our visit to the centre.

We visited on good Friday. Our group consisted ages from sixty eight to eleven months.

Everyone enjoyed the day. The lady that sorted out a mobility scooter was very helpful. It was well worth the drive from Somerset. We will certainly be back. Thanks for a great day out.

Michael Cooksley

19 March 2016

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful day out we had with you today. We travelled down from Bedford as a birthday surprise for our 9 year old son. We have watched the tv show and he was looking out for all the primates he had seen. We were amazed at his knowledge of all the different types of primate so rest assured you are educating a new generation.
We were all blown away by the beautiful environment and the thought that has obviously been put into every detail. The enclosures were magnificent and the primates clearly at ease and loving their surroundings.
As visitors, we felt well looked after too! The play areas are fantastic, the food was good and well priced, the information accessible and the staff friendly and knowledgable. We were impressed at the facilities for disabled guests, sensory statues for the visually impaired and wheelchair swing in the play area. Even though none of our group is disabled, the attention to detail and consideration of all guests leave us confident to recommend it to disabled friends.
We have one very happy and excited little boy (and an equally enthusiastic teenage daughter). We will definitely be making the journey again soon so thank you all for a great day out and well done for all the amazing work you do.

Susan Patterson

18 March 2016

We recently visited Monkey World after watching so many of the TV programmes.
It was a fantastic day and the work you all do is amazing - our primates are in very good hands.
Very good prices in the Cafe's and gift shop. All in all a great time was had - keep up the good work

29 February 2016

My wife and I have been visitors to the park since the 1970s and still enjoy it so much.
We both adopt animals, Bryan and Rodders and always spend a lot of time at their group although I will always miss poor Charlie.
Jim, Alison and all the staff have done a fantastic job and should be applauded for their work.
We will always support Monkey World and as long as we are fit will travel down from Oxford as often as we can it's a great day out but very moving.

Tony Thouless

8 February 2016

My partner and I visited your park yesterday (7th Feb), as part of a birthday treat. We are both big fans of the television series and had always wanted to visit the centre.
I just wanted to send an email to express how much we enjoyed our visit.
To be able to see the animals so close, and to see in person the work that goes on was an absolute joy.
I was particularly impressed with the layout of the park. The interconnecting walkways and tunnels between the enclosures, and the sheer amount of space the animals have.
Being animal lovers we have visited many Zoos and animal oriented attractions, but they feel very much like amusement parks,  with animals enclosures thrown in. Monkey world feels very different. It feels like the animals have been given the absolute best possible environments, and then the human visitor element has been added after. We left feeling as though we had been inside the animals' home.
We were also very impressed with the entrance price and the cost of food, drinks and gifts.
Great value for money, and a thoroughly enjoyable day. We will definitely be back!

James Willis

18 January 2016

Just wanted to thank you for a lovely few hours, despite an unexpected rush you looked after my husband with the mobility scooter. It was a bit of a joke outing for our sons 30th birthday and he loved it. Despite lots of the various monkeys wanting to wrap up we really enjoyed our time with you.
So thank you I know Jim Cronin would be so proud of you all - what a wonderful job you all do.

Carol Tippen

11 January 2016

We had our Guided Tour yesterday, it was fantastic. It was an honour to see close up, what a fabulous job you all do at Monkey World. It's amazing the way these primates are given such a natural environment to live.

Thank you so much for your help, and Bob was a great guide

8 January 2016

Just a quick note to tell you how much my husband and I enjoyed our visit to you yesterday. It was a glorious January afternoon and with so few visitors we were able to see all the wonderful animals at our leisure. We heard 2 very interesting talks about the chimps and the orang-utans which are our favourites. The keepers that we met during the afternoon were happy to tell us about their particular areas and were both informative and passionate about their work.

We haven't visited here for some time, as it is normally too expensive for us but your special half price offer for Dorset residents meant we were able to afford to spend a wonderful afternoon with you. I'm so glad we saw your advert!

4 January 2016

We had an amazing day today with two adults and two 16 yr olds. I have never seen 16 yr olds so excited by wildlife and conservation. Very inspirational!

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how impressed we were with the statues for the VI clients you have.  We came last Tuesday to your site with our son who is 9 and has no vision.  The statues were amazing for him, he felt included and could understand what everyone else was looking at.
Your staff were amazing and so helpful and informative.  They also had a great sense of humour and made the experience fun for him.  I am in lots of FB groups and pages about VI and have shared images on all of them.  It really did make his day (especially when there were cobwebs on one of the statues which he found very amusing).

I just want to say Thank You for allowing my family to use the meeting room to celebrate my 50th and my mum's 80th Birthdays on Sun 8th Nov.
The room and buffet were excellent and all the staff we encountered were approachable, friendly and helpful. They are a credit to your company.

We will recommend the room for venue for future events.

We recently visited you're site and would just like to say how very impressed we were. The work you do is amazing but why I'm writing is to say a big thank you for the facility you provide by 'lending out" mobility scooters. I am disabled and would never have been able to walk round the whole of you're 'Monkey World', but with the availability of these scooters we all had a fantastic day and saw everything.
No other place I have been to provides this sort of service and I was amazed. So a big thank you from myself my husband and son for making our day brilliant.

We visited Monkey World on 20/10/15 in a coach party from Plymouth Parkinson's UK. We really appreciated the disabled facilities, particularly the width of the paths which allowed us to go round at our own pace without feeling awkward and at risk of being in the way of other visitors due to slow movement and possibly "freezing". We had a wonderful day and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the enclosures and characters that we so much enjoy watching on television. We also appreciated that the prices in the cafe were reasonable and not seeking to take advantage of a captive audience. Thank you very much.

What wonderful day out my son and I had. The tour guide was great, informative and friendly as were everyone else working at the Sanctuary. The disabled facilities provided for myself were more than adequate, thank you for your consideration and thoughtfulness. Saw just about all the animals I have followed avidly since 1993 they were awesome. Didn't get a glimpse of Lulu, my son adopted for me, but will be back in March 2016 to spend another day.
You are all amazing and the work you do is fandabydozy.
Thank you again for a memory instilling experience.

Me and my husband visited monkey world whilst on holiday in dorset in sept 2015. We were amazed at all the monkeys and how well they are cared for and the amount of space they had. It was the highlight of our holiday and are now saving to come again next year

Keep up the good work guys

My family visited monkey world this week and really enjoyed ourselves. The monkeys are well looked after. Their enclosures look like giant playgrounds. You are doing amazing work. Rescuing and caring for the monkeys. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to bring a family.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Monkey World for the wonderful work you do and the wonderful home you have given to your primates. I visited Monkey World on 21.09.15, along with my parents (aged 75 & 82), having avidly watched as many of your shows on tv as I could, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our day. I have lots of fantastic photos and amazing memories to keep me going until I am able to return. The park was very clean and tidy, staff very polite, knowledgeable and helpful and the primates were amazing to watch in real life. Especially loved seeing the gibbons swinging high up in the trees, but no favourites allowed, they were all fantastic! Thank you again for such a memorable day. I cant wait for my next visit.

"Myself and my hubby came to visit today with our 1 year old grandson, we had a lovely day, he thought the monkeys were funny as he spent most of the time laughing.we were a bit apprehensive that he wouldn't be interested, but we were wrong.the food was good, although paper plates and plastic cutlery wasn't what we expected but we did laugh.the staff were friendly and plenty of space and clean loos .The prices of entry and the cafe were great compared to other places.thank you for a great day"

"I cannot praise your establishment enough! I was a disabled visitor on my own. Facilities brilliant, staff excellent and the apes and monkeys- apart from being gorgeous- are so well kept! Clean, healthy looking and- I know it sounds silly- but so happy! A wonderful experience which I shall certainly repeat.
Thank you all so very much not just for what you do for the apes and monkeys but for bringing this to peoples' attention"

"Hello. My husband me and our 2 kids aged 10 & 14 visited today. What a fantastic place you have made for the monkeys and the other primates. The enclosures were amazing. Everything was maintained to a very high standard and was spotless. Thank goodness for such a wonderfully calm safe place for the animals. Well done. Kids play area was fantastic. The food was great and not overpriced. Thankyou."

"Hi i would just like to say that i visited Monkey World on Saturaday 15th Aug with my 3 children and my disabled wife. Two of my children are ASD aswell. We had a lovely time after a long drive from Plymouth. Your enclosures are fantastic and as a person with a HND in animal behavior, i could see the animals were all extremely happy and exhabiting natural behaviours. This after the ordeals they have suffered before u got them is a credit to all your hard work and love. We all had a lovely time and really enjoyed ourselves. My only personal quibble is i didnt get to meet Jeramy or Alison... As i think they are both fantastic, but understand that they are very busy so please pass on my admiration for them both. Will be back soon and will support u and recommend u to all my family and friends regards"

"Hi, like many others, after watching the TV series for the last few years we decided to make a visit in person & see the stars of the show. I feel that I should congratulate you on the work that you are doing & the environments you have built for your animals. Although it turned into a mammouth trek to get there due to the amount of roadworks on the motorways, the whole family is glad we did. Having seen the terrible conditions that the capuchin monkeys were kept in prior to their rescue, it was heart warming to see them running around outside climbing real trees. Thanks again."

"I just wanted to say that we had an excellent visit on Monday 3 August. I had packed a shoe box to bring down, but sadly forgot it, and we were already 1/3 of the way into our 330 mile trip to visit. I am an avid watcher of monkey life and love the orangs, but found the gibbons so funny when they were calling out as they sounded like an old arcade game ending. It was great to see some of the staff who are on the show, and spotted Jeremy (my favourite), but didn't want to bother him as he was on his bike and looked busy. I can't wait to come next year and bring down a shoe box. If it was closer to us I would be there more often."

"Dear Alison and team. Came to Monkey World a few weeks ago whilst on holiday in Dorset and can honestly say I didnt want to leave your place! You have all worked so hard to do and maintain what you do, its amazing. I loved it and got a bit of an insider view due to walking round with an ex handler/worker of yours, who had her own little monkey in a pushchair hence the reason she isnt working there currently. She spoke, as we still are, amazed at the strength and courage of how you have coped thru hard times.

Ive seen the programme on and off over the years and my now 11 yr old daughter is obsessed with your programme ( I bought a few from the shop so its nice finally seeing them in order)! I cant thank you enough, got a little teary knowing we had to leave! We are in London and would love to, certainly I, would love to go again. All your staff were so helpful, talkative and friendly from the nice staff in the shop, even the guys guiding in the cars on the entrance. You have excelled in so many ways and you, Jim, Jeremy et all have a special place with me, and I cant gush anymore with the admiration I have for you, and for what you have gone thru. You and the team, past and present are amazing. Very best wishes for you all."

"I just wanted to let you know much I enjoyed my visit on Wednesday. It was lovely to watch the capuchins, especially, leaping around catching insects by the viewing window.  I also enjoyed seeing the other apes/monkeys and walking through the lemur enclosure and chatting with your staff.  Thank you again for a lovely day."

22 July 2015

"My girlfriend and I visited Monkey World for the first time yesterday, and I just wnated to say how blown away we were by the whole experience!

We had already made up 3 shoe boxes full of treats (along with a couple of extra pineapples) for our primate friends, and the young lady in the ticket office was very grateful for the gifts. Throughout the day we were both really impressed with not only how well looked after the primates are, but with everything else that goes along with it. The actual entrance fee, the cost of lunch and ice creams were all very reasonable which is extremely rare in Zoo's, Wildlife Parks, etc. The staff were all fantastic. I noticed that during the talks all memebers of staff spoke with such passion about their primate group, and when referring to the park (and how they rescued the chosen Chimps, etc) they always used the phrase "we", which I thought gave a lovely family feel to the place.

We just wanted to say what a fantastic job you are doing, and we can't wait to come abck and visit again soon. If we lived closer I think we woudl be there every weekend!"

"I have in the past visited about 5 times, but have not been since 1999 the year my late wife passed away, we visited a few weeks before she passed away as she like me loved the centre and wanted to see it one more time. I and her daughters are coming down to the centre on Friday 24th July, I now live in Yorkshire and am coming down for a week with my youngest grandchildren. I love the tv show and watch all of the episodes even when they are repeated :)

The work you do is a massive credit to you and all of your staff. I would like to say to everyone who hasn't been before to make the effort to visit you will love it I am sure.

See you soon with my family :)
Keep up the good work."

"Dear All, especially your wonderful staff in the gift shop! We had a great day at the centre and finished out day I the gift shop to buy some treasures to take home. my four children were very tired, as I'm siure your staff memebers were! However, we were greeted warmly and nothing was too much trouble, your staff showed patience and enthusiasm with my kids. We all went home very happy and we will be returning as soon as we can! Please pass on my gratitude to your gift shop staff, they do a great job."

"I just wanted to say what a lovely day we had at Monkey World yesterday. My mum is an avid watcher of the show on television and had frequently expressed a wish to visit.

My two daughters ad myself took a day off work to bring her as her birthday outing. Mum absolutely loved it, and we all had a great day. The lay out, with lots of trees and greenery, as well as the large habitats was beautifully presented. It was also great to have so many benches and shady spots dotted around the park for the less able walkers.  It was well worth the two hour trip to get there."

"I'm contacting you to tell you how much I love watching monkey world on TV. Monkeys are my favourite animal in the world. I love everything about them always have. I can't tell you how much it warms me to see the love & care that they get from all members of the team at monkey world. I am from St. Helens near Liverpool so I'm miles away from Dorset but I will make sure that if I get the opportunity to travel down south I will visit. The work that you do is amazing. Thank you."

24 June 2015

"I'd just like to comment on the extremely helpful staff that were working in the monkey world Shop on my recent visit 11/06/15. They are an asset to monkey world. Both my wife and I have watched monkey worlds work on TV for a few years now and we're very keen after our amazing visit to the centre to purchase some souvenirs and found that the black polo shirts in XXL out of stock. They were quick to take my name and number and stated they would call me when they came back in stock.

I had all but forgotten about leaving my details when this week I received a lovely call from the shop staff and we quickly processed my order and very quickly it arrived... I'm over the moon with my new polo shirt and once again I would like to thank the staff concerned.. Could you please pass on my thanks to these staff members

Thank you for making each and every part of visit and experience truly amazing"

"Dear Monkey World,

Thank you for a fantastic day.  I visited today with my mother.  She is gone 90 and we used your fantastic service of the use of a mobility scooter for her to access your park.  She really enjoyed the freedom to enjoy looking at all the animals and plants without being totally exhausted from walking.  We particularly liked the little orangutang with the nappy who seemed to be enthralled by the blue of the mobility scooter.  A very big thank-you to all the staff who made this visit so enjoyable with their freindliness and help - particularly regarding my mother giving her right amount of space to do things for herself when able but being there when she needed a helping hand."

"I just wanted to say what a great time my daughter and I had when we visited our 'sons' Rodder's and Silvestre during the first week in June. It was lovely to see them playing, especially Silvestre with Awan... taking her blanket and getting her to chase him. Very funny to watch. On Thursday 4th June the keeper who gave the orang talk was excellent, he was very informative and stayed around afterwards to answer the crowds questions.

He had a black ponytail and a foreign accent, I have seen him on the DVDs but don't know his name. Well done.

We left a box of 'food goodies' which I know would be well used. I am now spreading the news of Monkeyworld at the children's hospital in which I work. Great job to all."

"Hi I just wanted to thank you for a fantastic day when we visited yesterday. We have a guide called Jenny who was brilliant, lots of information and clearly loves her job. It is a great place and your residents are so very lucky. Seeing all the familiar faces from the TV show was lovely. Also I must add it made my day even better if that was possible by getting a glimpse of Jeremy!!!!! Yesterday was a 16 hour round trip for us and was worth every minute and every penny. Keep up your great work and we will be back to visit again and will tell anyone we can what a fantastic place to visit and support. Thank you again"

"Hi, just wanted to say how impressed we were with everything on our visit this sunday, hope the apes enjoy the bags of goodies we came down with, was sad to see we were the only people in the que who had brought anything with us to donate.also a shame that alot of people seem to think ,ive paid my entrance fee now entertain me.. was an honour just to get up close to the apes and see some of the faces that we all know from TV. we even decided to adopt an ape for my mums birthday this week. i can see where the centres passion comes from, i could of just stood and watched the apes all day. keep up the good work guys,"

3 June 2015

"I have long held a fascination and affinity with monkeys and apes since being introduced to these animals at an early age. I lived near Port Lympne and other zoos. I can honestly say I hated the fact they were not in the wild. I grew up following conservation stories of many varieties and since first seeing the very first program about Monkey World I have longed to visit. Yours and Jim's dedication inspired me to adopt an Orangutan in Borneo to help with conserving these beautiful animals in the wild.

Sunday was my 50th birthday. On Friday I was transported to Castle Corfe by my husband and son, and on Saturday I spent from 11 am until 5.25pm at Monkey World. I spent the entire day smiling. The work you and all the staff do is amazing I felt honoured to be able to visit. I only wish I lived nearer or I would volunteer myself, unfortunately I live in North Norfolk.

The fact you are able to help introduce species back in to their natural environments, alongside saving species and giving those who have had such appalling lives and cannot return to their natural habitats the obvious freedom & relaxation they exhibit with as near natural living as possible is inspirational.

My birthday was very special.

I just wanted to say a big thank you, for the best birthday I could have asked for."

Once again, thank you. Very kind regards,"

8 May 2015

"I had been meaning to visit Monkey World for some considerable time and finally managed it last Wednesday. I was blown away by the whole quality of the site, the way you have created the most natural and spacious environment for the apes (with a distinct and laudable lack of concrete), the cleanliness of the visitor areas, the helpfulness of your team, the educational signage - and the price - the price is definitely value for money. I recently had the misfortune to visit London Zoo and the contrast could not be more stark.

To cap it all, when I got home today there was an envelope on my doorstep from Monkey World. I had apparently dropped my driving licence when visiting and one of your team put it in the mail. It was back here before I even knew I had lost it.

Fantastic, absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be back. Amazed not only by the way you look after the apes, but also by the way you look after the humans, too..."

"I wanted to pass on my thanks and praise to Mike for a fantastic tour on Thursday 30th of April.

It was a birthday treat for my girlfriend, who had already been to Monkey World a mere 12 times. So I treated her to a tour, what a treat it was.

The tour was brilliant and really made it special for both of us even after so many previous visits. Best yet! Of course Mike was amazing, informative and funny.

Please pass on my thanks for making it a special day. Thank you!"

"I just want to say thank you for a lovely day. I travelled from Monifieth near Dundee in Scotland to visit your park with my son and husband during the April holidays. We had a lovely day recognising all the apes and primates.  You all do a wonderful job and thank you for rescuing all those wonderful animals in your park.  Well done you all do an amazing job."

30 April 2015

"I needed to write to say that we visited last week and stayed all day. It was fascinating, moving and very rewarding. Because you have made such fantastic enclosures for the residents it was like searching for wild life in the jungle! It was incredible to be so physically close to the great apes and it occurred to me that this is a once in a lifetime experience. Having said that I can always visit again. I have truly fallen in love with the new orang utan babies who we were lucky enough to see being bottle fed. However my heart was also captured by Bryan and I now see him everyday as I have put him on my iPad as my wallpaper. Thank you so much for the work that you do and I must also say that the staff do an amazing job. Everyone was so knowledgable and happy to stop, talk, explain what they do. It was a truly memorable day and I can't wait to come back. Thank you all."

"I felt I just had to thank you and your staff at Monkeyworld for making my Birthday such a memorable day. From our tour with Mike Colbourne to the politeness and helpfulness from everyone we came in contact with, My husband and I had a wonderful day.

I adopted PEANUT and although the person who dealt with the adoptions was not there that day the ladies in the shop took my application and on my return I recieved my beautiful photo of Peanut and my membership card, I hope to return in the near future but once again thanks to everyone for making my birthday so special.

Thank you again."

"Hi there, just to thank you for an excellent day out for my wife and I,it was her Birthday treat,we have been following the programme on tv.

We left Norfolk on sunday and travelled to Farnborough and stayed the night and we arrived 1st car into the car park on Monday morning, weather was really wet and we thought it would spoil the day but no, at 1200 the rain stopped and it got out really nice.

What you do for these animals is wonderful and hope it continues fir a long time because they need people like you to care for them, what a wonderful experience for us to see the monkeys really happy and relaxed.

Your staff were really good and the cafe food was really nice too, catering for everyone with a varied menu.

Thankyou for a great time, regards and best wishes"

14 January 2015

"Hi,

We had a wonderful day on Wednesday, it was our wedding anniversary and we were having a short holiday and decided to spend one of the days visiting Monkey World. Our friends/family contributed towards the box we took for them. All the monkeys are lovely and it is impossible to have a favourite though I have always been fascinated with Orang Utangs.

The enclosures and outdoor areas are fantastic, we have never seen such good ones either here or abroad. They all look very happy with their lives.

We started watching the programmes after Christmas when we both had flu and have been hooked ever since. Our neighbour watches the programme as well which we did not realise until we said where we were going. We just had to visit. We think everyone does a great job and they genuinely care about the animals. We hope to visit again soon."

4 January 2015

"We would just like to thank you for the wonderful couple of days we spent at Monkey world over the Christmas period. It was a pity that a lot of the viewing windows were steamed/frosted over so we were not always able to observe the primates, though it did not spoil our visit. We left a couple of bundles of blankets at the entrance which we hope will be of use. We thought the food in the cafe was very nice and very reasonably priced, as was the gift shop. Lastly it was a pleasure to meet and chat briefly with Jerermy. This was our first visit having traveled from Kent, but it will not be our last.

Thank you once again for the pleasure the visit gave us, and for the kindness shown to the inhabitants by yourselves."

17 December 2014

"I visited monkey world 17/12/2014 with my husband and had a truly lovely experience, although the weather was a bit wet, the monkeys didn't seem to mind and looked happy and so well cared for, we were lucky enough to talk to one of the keepers who told us about the one week old monkey we spotted.  I also fell in love with Vietta the golden-cheeked gibbon who loved showing me her feet and just hanging about skills she was pure class.  The cafe and shop were both well stocked (a bit less after I had been in there) and the staff were great.  Merry Christmas to you all and look forward to returning in the new year xxx"

"My apologies if this email has been sent in the incorrect manner to what this method of communication is meant for however after watching the whole Monkey World series on Animal Planet I just wanted to say how incredible the whole team are at Monkey World.  If I had seen this programme at a younger age it would have inspired me to become a conservationist. It's amazing to see such rewarding work with our ancestors 'for want of a better phrase' and I think everyone at the Monkey World centre should realise just how much the work they do and still excel at doing is appreciated by people that aren't as knowledgeable without such documentaries. To everyone at the Monkey World centre I just want to say thank you for allowing me and the people who are not fortunate enough to understand the hard work that you put in to helping these animals ensures that the world appreciates the fantastic job you do and how it inspires 'normal' people to want to be a part of it. Everyone at the centre are role models for everbody and you should be very proud of the work you do. I doth my hat to each and every one of you.

I hope this find you well and that it is passed on to enable you to understand that every hour you put in to the amazing job that you do is respected and envied.

My utmost appreciation."

"Thank you and a Happy Christmas to you all at Monkey World.

Visiting Monkey World in July/Aug this year was the highlight of my UK trip. The icing on the cake for me was seeing Jeremy in with the Orangs in their indoor nursery.

All the items below I have bought as Christmas presents. When I came back from Monkey World I brought back seom pyjamas for my 3 years old great nephew. he didn;t take them off for 2 days and nights.

All the best. You are doing a wonderful job."

"I visited Monkey World with a friend on Saturday 11th October and just wanted to say what a wonderful experience it was.  We were so impressed with the work you do, the range of issues you deal with and the fantastic environments you provide for residents.

I would particularly like to thank the young lady who was working in the orang-utan nursery that afternoon.  I was trying to find out more about Oshine after seeing so much on tv, but couldn't find her.  The young lady kindly helped us to locate her and spent some time updating us on her progress.

Hopefully we will be able to visit again before too long.

Thank you all for the wonderful work you carry on both at Monkey World and in so many parts of the world."

"Last Monday (8th September) I booked a Guided Tour as a surprise for my wife. We were shown around by Jenny. I wanted to write to you to thank Jenny and Monkey World for a superb experience - it surpassed all our expectations! We have visited Monkey World on several occasions starting just after it first opened and our children have sponsored primates as well. Jenny's knowledge and insight into the work of Monkey World gave both of us a fantastic day out and great value for money.

We wish you all continued success.

Many thanks again, we will be back soon!"

Hi monkey world gang,

I was looking for a feedback section on your website couldn't find one so thought I would send this email. We came on holiday down to Weymouth on the 1st September 2014 and realised how close we was to monkey world somewhere I have wanted to visit for years so on the Wednesday my husband son n I came along to see the amazing things you have achieved I was so taken back by the story's of all the rescues and the amazing journeys of rehabilitation for you all. I loved how brilliant the enclosures looked everyone looked happy and relaxed. It was more than I imagined ...my 6 year son loved everything and the parks were fabulous he liked the activity hut also. I was also impressed by the quality of food at the cafe and the pricing of both food and entrance fantastic.. so a huge thank you for a wonderful family day out.. and a major congrats on all your hard work xx"

"Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Mike for a fab tour, our whole experiences of the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Especially loved being able to see Oshine... she is my favourite, so adorable as are all the other Orangutans at Monkey World.

The love, care and dedication these gorgeous animals receive at Monkey World is blatantly obvious and so necessary considering some of the horrendous backgrounds and circumstances of their lives.

Wishing you all every success for the future."

"During our holiday we vitised Monkey World last Friday and had a thoroughly enjoyable day. The park was easy to navigate around, clean, great space for the monkeys at each of the monkey homes. We also used one of the restaurants and the food was lovely and great value for money. We took our 3 children ages 5, 9 and 14 they each loved the park but most of all our 5 year old daughter Freya fell in love with Lulu. She asked how Lulu came to have one arm so we told her (the information around the park is brilliant). Since that day she takes the souvenir brochure everywhere, kisses the picture of Lulu daily, and Lulu's story has become her bedtime story. I wanted to thank you for making the information about each primate easy for even the smallest people to understand. She wanted me to send you a picture of Lulu that she dres today.

Thanks again to everyone involved at Monkey World."

"Me and my husband had a fantastic day out at Monkey World in July. We were greatly surprised at the low entrance fee then the price of the beautiful coloured brochure with all the photographs in. I think you must be out of pocket selling these books at £1. They are worth at least £2.50 probably more. Also I think you could do with putting the entrance fee up at least £2 - £3

My husband is disabled so we hired a scooter, as it was a very hot day and I have trouble walking for long stretches I had one as well. It helped us to get around more than we would if I had had to walk. We didn't see everything and I hope to come again next time we visit our son in Devon. We live in the Pennines and we are in our seventies so it is a long way to come. I couldn't believe it when our £20 was re-funded. I looked for a box to put the £20 in but was told there wasn't one. We had put money in the boxes provided especially the one for the £197,000 for the new series. I think that it is an astronomical amount to have to find. Have you managed it? I do hope so. We watch the series over and over again when its on Animal Planet and was sorry it had finished again.

I will send you the £20 that was re-funded for the 2 scooters as I think there should be a charge for these. Without them we wouldn't have got around. Thank you for the best day out ever. To add to the pleasure we met Jeremy and Mike. It is a good job there are people like you at Monkey World that look after all these animals and give the poor animals a good life after what they have all gone through Thank-you for all you do."

"I just wanted to say we visited monkey world on Thursday during our holiday. We watch your centre on TV. I just wanted to say how wonderful it is. The enclosures are wonderful and the monkeys all look so happy. As a family we have visited many zoos but monkey world was just outstanding. The work and dedication is great. I loved the fact that there was staff to speak to and the signs about not shouting to the monkeys was perfect - walking around the park I felt everyone respected that and although very busy it was very pleasant to walk around, not like other zoos people are rushing around screaming and shouting. We visited another zoo the other day and saw children chasing peacocks to stand on their tail feathers to pull them out, the parents just looking on. I like the fact that monkey world teaches adults and children to have respect for animals. Animals have always played a big part in my life and I will bring my son up in that way too, only just turning four he understands you have to be nice to animals and he had a great day at monkey world.

Thankyou so much for a great day we will hope to visit again."

"Hi,

I just wanted to say "Thank You" for making my visit so memorable.

Our private tour was with mike who was full of facts and information. It was wonderful to see how the primates responded to seeing him or just hearing his voice. this made our trip extra special.

We brought with us 3 shopping bags full for the shoe box appeal including couscous and fruit malt loaves.

I have been a fan of the TV show and was delighted to not only have the tour with Mike but we also saw Alison and Jeremy going about their daily business.

I have attached a couple of photos that I took while on our trip. i love the relaxed Sally in the window. The statue of Jim and Charlie is a beautiful study of 2 loving individuals.

this was my first trip to Dorset andfound it to be such a lovely place and hopefully I will have time to make another visit.

Kind regards to all."

23 July 2014

I would like to say, after following the tv show over the past years, I finally got to visit Monkey World. I was not disappointed!! It was everything I expected and more. The staff were informative, knowledgeable and polite! I was upset too, as whilst visiting I got notified that the kickstarter campaign had not been successful!

The job that Monkey World, and all involved, do is amazing and I am glad to know that there are people in the world that care enough to do something that they are passionate about. If I lived closer I would definitely volunteer my services!!"

"I just wanted to contact you and say how much I enjoyed my visit to the park the other day. I decided to attend all the keepers talks and learnt a lot.  My one big surprise was seeing that Mikado had gone through his colour change.  Thank you again for a lovely day."

13 July 2014

"I visited yesterday with my family, including my daughter who has sponsored Dinda and wanted to visit her. Just wanted to say what a lovely place Monkey World is and what a fantastic job you all do. Of course, our favourite place was the orang-utan nursery (Oshine is a real character!). But we were also really impressed by the value for money. It's really refreshing to find a place to visit that doesn't believe in squeezing every last penny out of visitors. I've sung your praises to my friends since my visit and would like to wish you all the best for the future."

28 June 2014

"I came to Monkey World today with my partner and his 14 year old son.

I wanted to say how impressed I was with Monkey World. We arrived just after 12 and didn't leave until 5. It was a great afternoon out. The nursery of orang-utans was lovely, they were so playful and even got smiles and laughs out of a teenager which is no mean feat!

Whilst going through the Woodland Walk we saw a deer and her baby which was unexpected and only added to an excellent afternoon.

The staff that we heard doing talks were knowledgeable and passionate and clearly love their jobs.

The last time I came to Monkey World was 18 years ago, it has obviously grown but everything was extremely well done. The primates were all amazing especially the orang-utans and gibbons.

This was an excellent day out and well worth the money. Thank you for a wonderful experience."

"Hi Monkey World team,

My family and I recently visited Monkey World and wanted to say a big thank you for an amazing day.

We really enjoyed the day and the fact that the park was easy to navigate with plenty of staff to help.

We also wanted to thank our tour guide Bob for all the information he provided and how personable he is. He is an absolute asset to Monkey World.

We travelled from London after watching Monkey World on TV and it was worth every penny! Please forward this email as a personal thanks to Alison Cronin."

"Dear Team,

I would like to take this moment in time to say a big thank you to everyone involved in the running of monkey world.

My wife and I were holidaying in nearby Bournemouth, & had a day at monkey world, where we found the park just as enjoyable as the Television series.

We think the work that you're doing is remarkable, and the primates looked happy and contented within their surroundings, once again a huge thank you for a great day out.

We will be planning another day out at the park later in the year, hope to see you all again, best wishes,"

"Having watched the TV series my wife and I recently visited Monkey World with our 9 year old son. I just wanted to say how impressed we were with everything there. The staff were all really nice and gave interesting talks and my son was especially pleased to be able to chat to them as he has chosen to do a project at school about endangered species from around the world. We were really impressed with how well the monkeys looked and how big their enclosures were compared to a lot of other places we have visited. My son also loved the climbing area and slides at the far end of the park. We will definitely come back."

"My husband and I must thank the staff at Monkey World for the kindness shown to us for our two visits this week, from cleanres to Cafe Staff. The lady who provided us with the disabled buggies was really helpful, so much that we were happy to donate the £20 refund money to such a good cause.

We were delighted to meet Jeremy and shake his hand. He was so friendly. We sponsor two primates, I sponsor Oshine and Mile the wooolly monkeys.

Please accept our sincere thanks for such a worthwhile visit.

Best wishes,"

"Firstly we would like to congratulate all staff at Monkey World for the amazing work that you carry out each day, it takes truly remarkable individuals to do what you do day in and day out. We visited on 20th May which was our first time at Monkey World and it was a wonderful feeling walking into the park after seeing the television programme. We managed to see the Chimpanzee talk on Hananya's group which was extremely interesting. The stories the staff told us about the primates were heartbreaking and touched us, we would love to send our thanks to Wendy, she is a credit.

We would also like to say a big thank you to Jeremy for taking 5 minutes out of his time to have a chat and signing a copy of his book.

We loved watching the primates and was very taken with Sally and Lulu. We would like to thank you again for making both our visits this week to Monkey World wonderful.

Many thanks and happy returns."

"Hello staff, I just been to the park and had a fantastic time this was my 5th visit and 4th this year. I first came to the park about 20 years ago as a child and I thought this was an amazing place but after watching years of Monkey Business and Monkey Life I decided to come back and wow the place has changed so much since my 1st visit!  Me and my mum adopted 2 chimps on 28/2/14 called Valerie and Patricia, which is my late grandmothers first and middle name and as they are in the same group I just had to adopt them. All the staff were very friendly... I just bought Jeremy's book such an amazing and wonderful and tearful read. May all the staff at Monkey World keep up the good work.

"Last Sunday we had the pleasure of visiting Monkey World with the Foresters. We were very impressed with the whole area. Food hygiene was exceptionally good, young lady used tongs to serve the food. Lady on outside tabels kept the tables spotless. Our thanks also to two of your outside staff who answered our questions with patience. than kyou for giving us a very pleasurable day. Hopefully we shall be able to visit again,"

"Firstly, could you please thank Jeremy for helping me find Ben. What a beautiful chimp he is. You should be so proud of yourselves, looking after these wonderful primates and getting it so right.

I have had a fab day and the staff are wonderful and so caring. It was a joy to visit you all and thank you for making my day so special.

Very kind regards."

"Hi, I recently visited Monkey World with my partner. I would love it if you would pass on our thanks to the kitchen staff in your main cafe. Both my partner and I are vegan for ethical reasons and are not used to meeting the young man who was working in the main cafe last Thursday (10th April). He took a personal interest in us when we told him we were vegan and took great delight in catering to our needs. Visiting Monkey World for the first time was a wonderful experience; being able to eat in the cafe without feeling like second class citizens was the icing on the cake... thank you!"

"Yesterday my grandson Teddy, made his first visit to Monkey World to see his adoptive chimp Bart. He had a wonderful time seeing all the other apes too. As you can see from the photo a shoe box and blanket was left, which he hopes will help with your hard work.

Many thanks from a happy nan."

3 March 2014

"Dear Alison, Jeremy and all the keepers at Monkey World,

My niece and I visited Monkey World on 1st March, it was a long awaited visit as I have been watching your programmes for 10 years.

The park was everything and more than I expected and it was so good to see so many faces that I have seen growing up through the years, Gordon delighted us by stopping short of the viewing area as a real pro.  Unfortunately we missed out on seeing Oshine who I have followed with a passion.  The stumpy's were beautifully ugly, and I felt very privileged to have been in their presence as with the capuchins, both troops I have watched since you brought them to the park, all of them were so relaxed and Abby and I were so shocked when we saw the laboatory cage next to the capuchins.

Jethro was a firm favourite, as was Nike (is he always that noisy) and my favourite the Lemurs.

I coudl go on forever, all the primates at your park seem so happy and I can't imagine how much time, money and effort it takes to look after the guys you have before you even contemplate the rescues you are looking at.  My niece and I will be organising a corporate paver from our family, with a bit of fundraising too.

Finally I would like to congratulate you on your memorial to Jim, it was beautiful and very moving for me to be able to explain Jim and his role to Abby who is only 14.

I am immensely proud to have been able to share your experiences, and the amazing lives of all the primates whom through TV, you have allowed us to know.

Thank you, and keep rescuing."

"On 15/03/14 myself and my family went to visit Monkey World. An experience we was looking forward to as we all love Monkey Life. We went round the area and then went for a drink. We was gobsmacked when Jeremy walked in and grabbed a coffee. We nervously said hello and asked for a photo. Thinking we would get a pic of him on his own we was surprised he wanted to have a photo with all of us. Being a life time fan of Jeremy and knowing how busy he always is, we was surprised he readily agreed. What a polite person he was and spoke to us for about 10 minutes. A very enjoyable visit was had and we shall be back very soon. The park was also very clean and well sign psted for us to follow to various areas. My wife and I had to hire a scooter whilst there and found the disabled facilities excellent. Once again thanks for a great day, and we shall be back again very soon."

"I would just like to say on behalf of myself and my friends and family that we had an amazing time at Monkey World on Saturday. From the time I rang back in August to inquire about booking a surprise 50th birthday party to leaving the park on Saturday afternoon I have met with the most helpful, thoughtful and caring staff. Shelley and Grace organised the event brilliantly, Mike made Debs day by taking her round the park,  the catering manager looked after us, the gate staff had everything in hand and Steve, who tool us on our guided tour, was amazing.

A wonderful day was had by all and it wasn't tempered in anyway by the weather.

We left having been inspired by all you do and wth a new knowledge of monkeys!

Thank you!"

We would like to thank you for a wonderful visit my husband and I had on november 5th we had a very endearing and emotional day, we wanted to help in any way we can and the last couple of days collected eight bin liners of towels, and sheets and will be bringing them with us on our next visit, what a fantastic job you do, thank you once again."

"Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say that we brought our six year old, Sophie, to Monkey World again today, her third visit, Once again, despite todays cold weather, she had a great time, really enjoying seeing all the residents and running around the site. Great to see Jeremy in the cafe grabbing a much deserved warm drink!

Keep up all the great work, regards to Alison, Jeremy and all of the staff who do such a fantastic job. Best wishes'"

"Just wanted to say thanks for an amazing day out! The park is beautiful, the keepers talks are so interesting (you can tell how much love they have for their jobs) and the animals are so fascinating and inspiring. Such a brilliant value for a whole day out. Just adopted a woolly monkey (because the keepers talk was so inspiring and then there's Bueno Jnr!) Cannot sing praises high enough, keep up your amazing work!"

8 October 2013

"Ain't seen noting like it Rodders and Emin were playing for ages chasing each other up and down the glass enclosure playing hide and seek, peek a boo. This lasted for about half an hour then when we came back before we left Rodders spottted Emin as we approached the enclosure and you would see the excitement in his face and they played for age again - it was so surreal. Maybe as Emin is autistic there was a connection there as I've never seen Emin interact with anyone like that before let alone a chimp... bless him, love him endlessly my special little boy...

We have had the best day thank you all so much for having such a special place for my boy Emin to visit he loved it and watching him play melted my heart for the chimps it was as if they knew Emin had problems. Rodders zoomed straight into Emin and even Emin was talking back to Rodders - the look of understanding and love that little chimp has will be with my Emin forever. thank you so much Monkey World. Love to you all and hugs all round"

"We had a marvellous time! It was my request to visit, as my 70th birthday treat and it was definitely one of the best birthdays ever. MOST impressed with everything, including sensible prices in the eating areas, the entrance charge and the gift shop. The day was made even better by bumping into Jeremy outside one of the enclosures - what a lovely man. This is definitely a place to recommend to anyone and everyone for a visit. Congratulations on the work you do there, your facilities, the running of the place and your prices. Excellent."

"Hi to everyone, just wanted to say we have visited again today and had such a wonderful day, we even saw Mike... Twice, what an honour! It truly is a wonderful place for all, a coupld of times I had a lump in my throat when I was reading about apes and what they have gone through, such hard times but its so wonderful to see them frolicking about just having fun doing what apes should be doing.

Thank you again for another great day and for all the work you do. its an awesome place."

"To all the team at Monkey World,

Me and my family visited Monkey World in the summer holidays. We saw all of the monkeys and we really enjoyed our day. My favourite part was when we saw Oshine in the nursery with Sylvestre! Teh treetop Cafe was really nice and we had a delicious lunch there! We all enjoyed the gift shop very much and thought it was fairly priced. Me and my little brother and sister all bought a monkey teddy. We bought fudge as a gift for our Nanny and a fridge magnet pen for our Grandad! When we were having lunch outside we saw Jeremy on his bike. We didn't stop him to say hello because we knew how busy he would have been!! We all love watching Monkey Life every time its on. I wanted to send this email to say a massive thank you to everyone at Monkey World. I think its the best place I have ever been and it was my favourite day in the whole summer holidays! I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone who loves monkeys! Thank you for making the day so amazing and special!

Keep up the great work with all the monkeys and hope to see you soon!"

"Just to say a huge thank you to all the fantastic Staff Members we came into contact from the minute we arrived at Monkey world earlier today.

Having been really ill for the past ten years and spent time toing and froing to hospital, one of my few pleasures were watching Monkey World on TV. Today I actually was well enough to visit. (Having had 4 diagnosis of cancer, plus a kidney removed I never thought I would be able to see the wonderful animals live as opposed to on TV).

My husband and I took our Grandchildren who enjoyed the visit very much; we all had an excellent lunch in the Restaurant followed by a delicious tea and beautiful home made biscuits later.

The Mobility Scooter was an absolute godsend to me as no way I could have walked all the way round. Again, thank you to the lovely Staff who issued and received the scooter back again; every Member of Staff were so smiley and delightful, yet there seemed to be hundreds of people around, all happy and enjoying a day out. It makes such a difference to see such happy Staff and we greatly appreciated it. Nothing was too much trouble and a credit to you all.

Hope to visit again one day."

"Just thought I would send you a message regarding your fantastic work at Monkey World! Having watched almost all of the programmes about Monkey World I just had to let you know that I think your rehab methods are superb you always try your utmost best to do all you can to help each individual case! Your staff are obviously 100% committed to their jobs and are very capable at their work! I have nothing but admiration in the work you do at Monkey World and I realise that all the commitment takes a lot of dedication to carry out year after year! Well done to everyone at Monkey World, you should be very proud to have achieved all you have! We hope to visit soon as we are hoping to visit Dorset sometime before the end of this year. Please pass on our comments to all of your staff as we think you do sterling work."

13 August 2013

"Hi there,

I'm a 13 year-old girl and I visited your park in Dorset a few days ago. I just wanted to let you know that I was truly inspired by the fantastic work that goes on there, it was so amazing to see so many people that really care and wok hard for the benefit of others.

Unfortunately I live in Norfolk, otherwise I would volunteer as soon as I am 16!

However i am seriously considering adopting a monkey, it would be so lovely to be a part of this brilliant organisation.

There is no real point to this email. except just to say how great the park is, and how heart-warming it is to see the care that goes into making the animals at home. and letting them be animals again! All of the enclosures were so full of action, my family and I almost had as much fun as the orang-utans!

Thank you so much for a truly inspirational day; I hope the good work continues!"

"Dear Alison,

We visited Monkey World on 13/08/13 and my daughter met Jeremy and you very kindly took time out to have a photo with my daughter Lauren. She took some great photos of Oshine, Gordon, Sylvestre and many others.

We would liek to say a personal thank you to you we had a fab day and commend your staff who were fun helpful and very informative.

I would like to thank you for making the park a fun place to be.

We will be back again and hopefully look to adopt Oshine in the future with great anticipation for the work you do and heartfelt support, best wishes."

9 August 2013

"First off I would like to mention how much of a great job Jim Cronin and Alison Cronin have done to save these primates. They are both an inspiration and a great example for generations to come in my opinion. The reason for this email is to give you some feedback on our recent visit to Monkey World on 3rd August 2013. On this day it was my fiance's birthday.

For many years she kept telling me of a visit she had 5 years ago when she sat for 4 hours in front of Bryan's enclosure. She said that he sat next to her (in front of the glass) and held the back of his hand up to her on the glass and kept blowing kisses at her. Whenever a man came close to her Bryan went bonkers. He would also get agitated and want her to come back. Ever since this day she has been taken by Bryan and has always wanted to come back.

On 3rd August 2013 we intended to get to Monkey World at 10am but due to traffic we didn't get there till 3pm. We had set off from London at 8.30am so it was a really long day as you can imagine. Even though we on had a 3 hour visit we both found it amazing.

When we came up to Bryan's enclosure he wandered up to the glass looking at my fiance and started to display at her. He kept running up an down the enclosure and bashing on the glass, stamping the ground and throwing things around. It was amazing to see how powerful these chimps are.

We got some great pictures of the chimps and some videos of Bryan displaying.

Now all that is said I just wanted to say again what an amazing place it is to be at Monkey World and I look forward to coming back to you. Soon I hope."

"I was made redundant from my teaching job and was pretty miserable.  I came across Mnokey Business and Monkey Life on Anima Planet and can honestly say both these TV shows have lifted my spirits and cheered me up.  Not just because I love all your primates, but have a particular soft spot for orang-utans, and the ugly monkeys, and Tao and... oh the list goes on... but because of the absolute belief in yourselves to give these primates the best lives you can.  I always feel sad about Jim Cronin leaving us but know his spirit is strong and his and Alison's work continues.  So really I just want to say thank youfor the work you do and allowing all the primates to lead happy, healthy and safe lives.  I hope to visit you one day. Much  love x"

"Hello, during our annual visit to Monkey World today, we met with one of your keepers, and we wanted to say thank-you to her as she was very lovely, chatty and knowledgeable.  Apparently it is her last day today and she spent time with us explaining her joy working here and her sadness at leaving and we wanted to make a special thank-you to her for brightening an already happy day, and to wish her well in her future beyond Monkey World. Excellence deserve recognition."

"Here are some comments I have received from my group since our return:

  • It was an inspiring day.
  • It was a memorable day.
  • We had a wonderful time.
  • It opened our eyes and your enthusiasm has prompted us to sponsor Chatta.
  • We really enjoyed our day with the monkeys and all the other animals yesterday, thank you again for arranging the visit.
  • I would never have believed that 7 hours could pass so easily.
  • We loved the whole experience of "Monkey World" and were very impressed with their ethics and how the place is run.  It was amazing to see so many primates up close, but more importantly, the fact that they are all living a lovely life now.

During the day people spoke to me of how impressed they were with the running and organisation in the park especially the cleanliness everywhere so please thank all the cleaners for us.

We continue to stand in awe of all the great stuff that continues at Monkey World so huge thanks to you all and kindest regards,"

13 June 2013

Hi, I just wanted to express what a fantastic place Monkey World is! Myself and my husband had our first visit to Monkey World on Monday (10th June) after getting addicted to the show on TV I had to come and see it for myself in real life.

What you have done there is very impressive with many of the enclosures including natural habitat which is just fantastic. The animals all looked very happy and contented which is so rewarding considering the life most of them have had!

If I could do my time again I would have loved to have trained so that I could work with Primates and if I lived closer (I live in Sollihull, West Midlands) I would definitely be volunteering to help out!

Just wanted to say thank you for everything you do for the primates you are an inspiration and to make my day I bumped into Jeremy and managed to talk him into having a photo with me!

We left a bucket food parcel as well as some plastic bottles so hopefully you found these useful.

I am already looking forward to my next visit!!

Keep up the good work."

"My wife and I travelled down on Saturday 8th June from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, for the day at Monkey World. I would just like to say what a place. We had seen it on the TV lots of times, but it was even better than we expected when we got there. The whole place was so clean, with plenty of space to walk and enjoy the centre, all the staff were polite, and great value for money. I would just like to say we had a great time and will be coming back again - keep up the good work."

"I thought I would write a quick note to say what an amazing visit we had to the park during half term although it rained it did not dampen the spirits, we were lucky enough to have a lovely member of your staff show us the orang-utans. He was so knowledgeable it made our day. Your park is truly unbelievable blew us all away. My son was so pleased he got ot meet Jeremy and have his photo taken with Alison who also kindly posed for photos. The full experience was one we will never forget for a long time. We ended up coming hom ewith Oshine yes we adopted her as a family and will be back to see her very soon and all her friends.  I woudl like to say a special thank you to the operations lady that helped us with the adoption, the lovely keeper that explained to us about the orang-utans, Alison and Jeremy for the photos and last but not least the beautiful primates in the park.  Dylan says he hopes you like the toys we brought the horse balls. We cannot wait to come back and see you all in the summer holidays."

"No enquiry, but I just wanted to say - since my last visit, probably 15 years ago, what a pleasure it was to visit again. Such a lot of development, but still lots of room for all the animals. It is wonderful all the work you do."

25 May 2013

"We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jeremy who stopped whilst he was riding his bike through the park last Tuesday, I just wanted to shake his hand as we are both full of admiration for what he has achieved in the park and the way he interactes with the apes and monkeys, it really made my day as he genuinely made the time to stop and chat and answered a question I had about dear old Charlie who passed a while back, so please pass on our sincere thanks to him for just being a really great bloke. We stayed in the park to just on closing and it was wonderful to see the chimps go to bed but everything about the park is just wonderful, so well done to everyone involved."

"Just to say that my visit to Monkey World this week was wonderful, so clean all the staff very helpful and kind, and I will be back for a visit, and I'm also going to adopt one of the monkeys thank you so much for making my visit so nice."

14 May 2013

"I visited the park on Saturday 11th May as my birthday treat my partner and I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful day having had the incredible bad news 3 days before that my partner has cancer, I was somewhat reluctant to let him take me out, especially as this involved a 3 1/2 hour drive to reach Monkey World, bt he insisted that we celebrate my birthday and I am so very pleased that we did.

The pricing for everything was incredibly reasonable, the staff were all very poliet, helpful and happy and the keepers talks were interesting, funny and informative.  By the time we had enjoyed a coffee and cake and seen two exhibits we felt that we had had good value for the entry fee, so were delighted to find that the exhibitions seemed endless and there were places to sit and rest and take refreshments (again at a very reasonable price) throughout the park.

We both arrived home after a long but very enjoyable day feeling happy and relaxed.

The visit to you park turned what had been an awful week into a delight full of fantastic memories and we cannot wait for our next visit.  the staff in the park are a credit to Monkey World."

"Hi I just want to thank you for this website and your quest to fin out more in the illegal trade ghas really impacted on me and helped me a lot with my school project.  I saw that the information written on the site for the illegal trade was written quite a while ago, I just want to see how it's all going now and find out about what happened to Naree the chimpanzee.  Thank you again, your website has been an excellent resource."

12 May 2013

Just a short note to say we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit to  Monkey World on 11 May.  For birthday presents for each other we adopted Doug - stumpies, and Fiona - woolly monkeys.  It was very well set out and plenty of places to rest and refresh yourself.  We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to visiting again in the not too distant future.  Thank you for making our visit enjoyable and we will not hesitate to recommend anyone visiting Monkey World."

"Hi, we came down from the Scottish borders last summer and recently in April after watching your tv show.  We were very impressed with your hard work, dedication and devotion which is reflected by how happy, healthy and content the primates were.  We adopted Arfur due to his personality traits, although ranked low in the pecking order, he is very intelligent, wordly and streetwise!  Fascinating to watch!  We also adopted the siamang gibbons as we love listening to Sam and Sasak sing! We dropped off lots of apples, bananas, melons, carrots, peanut butter, honey and large pink tubs which we were happy to see Peanut and Co playing in the next day at the gibgons enclosure.  We are returning late July with more donations, including yellow tubs and other items listed on your shoe box appeal and wondered if there was anything else we could bring which would be beneficial to the primates.  Keep up the good work, what you have achieved is amazing and a credit to Jim's dream.  We look forward to seeing you all soon."

"Hi, I religiously follow all the Monkey World tv shows and have been to visit a few times, I live in London so don't get down to Dorset very often, I just wanted to congratulate you on doing such a great job saving primates from all over the world and giving them such a good life once they come to Monkey World. You are all stars and do fabulous work that doesn't get the recognition it deserves.  Jim was a hero of mine and Alison is definitely a fairy Godmother for many many monkeys in the world, keep up the good work people, all the best."

"Visited the park today and as usual we are always impressed at the work you do at the park, but a very big pat on the back must go to everybody for the magnificent change in the Capuchins from Chile.

We came to the park just after their arrival and found it very upsetting to see them as they were, but now the change is remarkable. I know the staff say they did little to help and just let nature take its course but I believe the love, care and attention must have helped.

Very well done to everybody, you should get awards.

Congratulations."

"Just a quick message to say thank you for the fantastic day we had there on Bank Holiday Monday.

The weather was perfect and after a 180 mile journey down from Halesowen your park was a revelation. After watching the t.v. series it was great to see the place first hand. You are doing a first rate job there and your gift shop is without a doubt the best I have ever seen. My missus was over the moon when she met Jeremy and had her book signed and a photo as well. Than kyou once again for an experience we shall never forget.

Looking forward to the next visit now. :)"

"My sister, our friend & myself came to Dorset last week for a few days from North Yorkshire, the main purpose of which was to visit everyone at Monkey World which we did on 30th April. It was my second visit although this time in a wheelchair but this did not lessen my enjoyment og this wonderful place in any way. As a siurprise for me my sister had arranged a guided tour & I was thrilled to see Mike arrive to greet us who I recognised immediately having been an avid fan of Monkey Life since the first series. Mike was great, very friendly, interesting & informative - it just made the occasion even better. My highlightof the day was coming face to face through the glass partition with a big male chimp as in the wheelchair I was about the same height, he had such knowing eyes - it was definitely an experience I'll never forget & for me at least, love at fist sight! However it was just brilliant to see all the monkeys - they are clearly very well cared for & enjoying life after not such a happy past in many cases.  Monkey World is such an oasis in what can be a very cruel world for lots of animals - I have nothing but admiration for the dedication & achievements of all the team at Monkey World. Thanks for making my year!"

"Yesterday was the first time I've visited Monkey World and I was a bit worried about getting around it all as I suffer with Arthritis. So after a two hour drive what a pleasant surprise it was to find that you lend out electric buggies to aid people who have difficulties in walking. It made my day so much more enjoyable to travel around your beautiful park pain free. Please give my thanks to the chap at the gate who aids with the scooters who was great, as was all your staff, I even managed to get a photo with my teenager hero Brian May (a real gent) - So from my wife and myself I'd like to thank you all for a great day out - the first of many."

28 April 2013

"Dear Monkey World,

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate and am grateful for all the work you do in many ways.

I first went to Monkey World in March with friends, I was so impressed that I adopted four orang-utans and took my family soon afterwards twice already!! Now my two children watch re-runs of Monkey Business and Monkey Life on Animal Planet nearly every night.

They are four and six and they are starting to learn many life lessons just from the work you do.  For example, they watched poor Aris and now they understand about stopping unnecessary pain for animals.  The animal rescues also play an important part of understanding the unacceptable practice of keeping monkeys as pets and the cruelty it causes them.  This names but a few, but watching the programme and visiting the centre allows us to speak of things that we may not have done without you.  It goes without saying that we will be visiting soon to see our friends.

So please keep up the good work and you can rely on us to sing your praises and support you any way we can."

27 April 2013

"We visited Monkey World last Wednesday and just wanted to say thank you for a wnderful day and to say we think you have everything just right - the entry price, the gifts in the shop, and the coffee and food all good prices - its so nice to go to an attraction and not get over charged,  you all work so hard for the good of the primates in your care, but the staff still found time to chat to us - even the very nice man we met pulling weeds by the capuchins.  We intend to visit you again as it was like seeing old friends as we spotted a lot of chimps and orangutans from the TV.  Keep up the fantastic work you are all doing to give all the beautiful animals in your care a life they deserve, they all seem to be so happy and free after the terrible lives they have had. THANK YOU ONE AND ALL."

S & J. Law

14 April 2013

"Another magic, enlightening day spent at Monkey World. It's still as comforting as going back home.  It's still as warming as a family re-union. Thank you for your continued commitment in all that you do. You show equal compassion and understanding for both your rescued primates and your guests and provide a very special place for them both,  See you again very soon. With best regards."

S. Harrison

12 April 2013

"My family and I visited Monkey World on the 11/4/13. It was a truly wonderful day (especially to see animals interacting etc instead of seing them sat bored which sadly is what is normally seen at animal centres). The staff are amazing and a special thank you to Jeremy for taking time out for a photo shoot. What Monkey World does is absolutely amazing and let's hope all centres, zoo's etc begin to follow in your footsteps.  Again a huge thank you to all at Monkey World."

6 April 2013

"I visited the park today on 6/4/2013 with my family and I have to say I arrived with the thought of visiting another tourist attraction but I was so wrong - the work you are doing is amazing and it has truly opened my eyes to the bigger picture of primate abuse and the good work you do to put right society's wrongs....

To all your hard wrk, efforts and dedication, I pass on my family's personal words of gratitude and warmth we feel towards your cause of freedom, peace and tranquility to primate well being and care.

Well done and praise to all at Monkey World."

11 March 2013

"I was at home one afternoon and decided to watch Animal Planet, it was 4 o'clock and your TV show "Monkey Life" was on. I was intrigued, I have always had a soft spot for animals, especially monkeys. As I watched your show I found myself making sure I was home and not busy so I could watch my daily hour of Monkey Life.  You are all so amazing! You will take any animal in and that is why I am writing to you. I don't think you're getting enough credit for what you're providing these monkeys so I would just like to say well done and thank you. We need more people like your team around the world. I have made a donation to Monkey World that you definitely deserve. I hope one day I could work at Monkey World and your team fascinate me and make me want to do really good things."

20 February 2013

"Both myself and my girlfriend came to the park on 15th of February 2013 and had a private tour with Mike! Wow what can I say brilliant tour tailored specifically for us, extremely informative and all questions answered, Mike is an asset to the park and the guests!! The idea that the park is for welfare rather than public viewing is perfect and I know some will disagree but shows that the park and staff put the primates priorities first! Very reasonably priced especially on food and tour!! Entrance. Good value for money!!

Thanks Mike for making the tour perfect and thanks to Monkey World for a great day and keep up the good work!!"

"To Alison, Jeremy & everyone at Monkey World,

I've just received my Winter copy of ARC and the Christmas card. I just had to write and say thank you, the picture of Gordon is fantastic.  When I visited him at the centre in 2003 he was just a little boy charging around the house with boxes on his head! And now look at him... a most handsome orang-utan! I remember the programmes which showed Mike and Jeremy looking after him and Jeremy trying to get him to feed from a bottle and he was whinging (Gordon not Jeremy!).  Happy 15th birthday to him on 9th December!

Keep up the good work, have a wonderful Christmas & a peaceful & successful 2013.

Now I'm going to make a cup of coffee and go and read the ARC.

Best wishes."

A. Sutcliffe (Adoptive Parent)

23 November 2012

"Hi, today we visited your park and had a wonderful day, walking around listening to the various talks. The talk we remember most was the woolly monkey talk, the young lady who came to give the talk found only my son and myself! She carried on and gave a wonderful talk and spent time with us talking about the woolly monkeys, she made our visit most enjoyable, you should be very proud of her. THANK YOU FROM TWO HAPPY VISITORS!"

"Hi All,

We would just like to say a big thank you for making our first day off in five years so special.  Especially Jennifer for the wonderful tour she gave us.

We had such a fantastic day and it was a great eye opener just seeing the work that the rescue centre does.

We will definitely visit the centre again in the near future, the journey is well worth it.

Than you once again and good luck with the petition that I will ask all my friends, relatives, employees, and business associates to conider signing it.

Many thanks once again."

"My husband and I have just enjoyed a lovely weekend in Dorset during which  we visited Monkey World. This is our fourth visit to your rescue centre and I just wanted to let you know that we enjoyed it immensley as we have done on our previous visits.

The brilliant work you do is amazing, and this time we even spotted Jeremy and Mike on their walkabouts."

 11 October 2012

"I wanted to quickly write to thank you for everything Monkey World has been able to achieve.

5 weeks ago I almost lost my wife and unfortunately our third child due to an ectopic pregnancy. Once my wife had been discharged from hospital we decided that together as a family we needed some time together, away from work and away from school. We had seen and followed Monkey World over the years it has been on TV and thought that it would be a great start to a week of adventure.

It was everything we could dream of and more. The open-ness and freedom of the animals is not expressed properly until you actually see how happy they are and how much space they really have. The keepers were all so helpful and great to see interacting with them throughout the day. And even though the park is for the visitors to see the animals, you still know that the animals are more importamt and have room to seek privacy, it was wonderful.

As all good tourists we visited the gift shop, and with two young boys they would have happily made us bankrupt. We left with as much as we could carry and Jeremy's book.

Thank you again, and please send our thanks to all the staff, it was the start of our family's healing process and will be remembered for a long time to come. Thank you Jim, Jeremy and Amy for starting Monkey World. And Alison for continuing the dream."

30 September 2012

"Hello, this week we paid a visit to Monkey World and I thought you would like to know what we saw during our visit. Caring and dedicated staff and keepers, apes that are clearly content with in many cases their second chance and everybody we passed were smiling - visitors, staff and keepers - literally everybody. The entire day was a day not to be forgotten and soon to be repeated, it was by far the most enjoyable day out we've had in a long time and your work should be praised at all levels."

Mr D. Coles

 27 September 2012

"We really wanted to get in touch and let you all know what a fantastic time we had during our time at the park recently. We decided to drive down from Leeds and stay over the night. We enjoyed the park so much that we came back again the following week. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the primates, they gave us some laughs and some amazing photo memories. We have now adopted a primate each too! We cannot believe the massive amount of work and dedication you all do to provide the primates with a safe, fun environment as well as an amazing visitor experience too. We will be returning as often as possible and I know of many family and friends who will also be calling by too. We have never enjoyed a day out so much!! Thank you all."

25 September 2012

"Fantastic!!!!! That's all I can say really.  My family and I visited your park during a holiday in Dorset last week.  We thought the place was brilliant, the monkeys looked really happy, and we were treated to an Orang show, by one of your young females who seemd to like looking out of the window.  The cafe is fantastic value, the food is marvellous, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.  We will be back again.  brilliant work, Jim would be so proud xxxxxxx"

22 September 2012

"Following our visit yesterday Friday September 21, just wanted to say how much Karen and I (and her mom) enjoyed our visit.

The guided tour (2.30) with Mike was informative, professional and friendly. Thanks also for the little pack of "goodies".

Having visited before in 1994 with my 11-year-old son, and again in 2000 when we met briefly with Jim and Alison in the park, it's wonderful to see how Monkey World has developed so succesfully. Long may it continue.

As my late mom would say (in her Irish Catholic way) "Ah, God love you" for the marvellous work you do with animals.

Many thanks, and best wishes."

22 September 2012

"I visited Monkey World yesterday with my daighter in law and my three year old grandaughter. My daughter in law wanted to visited for years, so this was her treat. We had a wonderful time and loved every minute. We must have walked miles, returning several times to certain areas to see what was going on next. It was lovely to see all the different monkeys so happy and playing together. Thank you for such a lovely experience."

B. Plumtree

21 September 2012

"I just wanted to say than you to the staff at Monkey World for making our first visit very enjoyable, you were all helpful and polite.

My wife and I have been fans of the show Monkey Busines/Life for a long time and have always wanted to visit to see the good work you all do in person and it was well worth it.  It was a triple bonus to see Alison, Jeremy and Mike around the park but we didn't want to bother for a picture/autograph as you probably get that all the time.

Thank you again and it won't be too long before our next visit."

P & R Stanley

19 September 2012

"Hi, just wanted to say what an amazing time we had on Sunday at Monkey World. It was great to see the apes/monkeys and even Dr Alison Cronin at the bungee jump. The band Brass Monkeys were great too. We travelled from Manchester to Dorset for the weekend and Monkey World was our main reason. Keep up the amazing work you're doing and we'll definately be back. I am in the process of collecting bedding/linen to send to you. Many thanks, we really enjoyed our trip and fully support the work you're doing."

17 September 2012

"Hi. Just wanted to say a massive thank you. I visited your park on Monday 17th Sept for the first time, and loved it. Will most definitely be back! The work you do is amazing.

But I really wanted to say thank you to the extremely helpful staff in the Treetops restaurant. I have coeliacs and while lunch out is a simple thing to most, to a coeliac it's a rare treat.  After a 3 hour drive to get to you (with nowhere suitable to stop en-route), it was the finishing touch to a perfect day to get something to eat with very helpful friendly staff, so thank you very much."

H. Dangerfield

15 September 2012

"Hello, this isn't an enquiry, it's a "Thank-you". I have just spent my 40th and my mum's 65th birthdays at Monkey World along with 3 of my children, we all had a fantastic day and will certainly be making a return visit.  The staff were very polite and helpful.  So once again THANK YOU Monkey World."

Sandra

14 September 2012

"My husband and I recently visited Monkey World (August 12).  We were astonished at the entry prices being so low.  We travelled from the north of England to see the facility and we were not disappointed, it was amazing and so funny to see how little difference there is between us.  We have visited many of our local visitor attractions i.e. Alnwick Gardens/Flamingoland and I suggest you look at the entry charges, it is significantly more than you.  I assume that your costs are needed to care for your animals and every penny counts.  I am sure that even in these difficult times you could increase your fees without reducing the number of visitors.

Thank you for the wonderful visit we had, it is a shame you are needed but keep up the good work."

G. Catchpole

13 September 2012

"I go to Monkey World six times a year, it is a brilliant place, thanks you."

A. Plimsoll

7 September 2012

"I visited Monkey World yesterday and what a place! I really enjoyed my day there and with lots of laughs and lots of humble moments. I could've cried with happiness when I saw just how good the primates are looked after there. Watching the baby orang-utan do handstands and throwing mud at the windows left me chuckling lots. And to see Oshine! Wow what a lady she is! I certainly will be returning. Well worth the 6.5 hour round trip on the train!"

3 September 2012

"Hi, I would just like to say thank you very much. My family had an amazing day at Monkey World last week. My day was made even more spectacular by Mike head of education at the park as he opened your sensory statues for me. This was superb because I am nearly blind and had no real idea of the true size of some of the monkeys. I can not thank you  enough for enabling me to really be involved in my family day out. We all had a truly awesome time. Keep up the fantastic work with your wonderful monkeys."

E. Free

31 August 2012

"We visited last week on our family holiday in Dorset. What a great day out, good value for money with all the play areas etc. It was nice to feel that the money was going to support the primates. Everyone from the oldest (79) to the youngest (21/2) had a lovely time and Ellie, the youngest summed it up for all of us when she said 'I like monkey park'!"

S. Leadbetter

27 August 2012

"We had a fantastic time at my most favourite place in the world! This was my 3rd visit to your wonderful centre. It still amazes me how well and happy your friends are. I had an amazing experience with Dinda, she was sat close to the glass and looked straight into my eyes, pressing her little face as close as possible to the glass to which I reciprocated! It was awesome and such a special moment. The time, energy, effort and love that you show these wonderful guys is immense, this will definately not be my last visit, I can't wait until next time. Thank you, thank you, thankyou!"

M. Elsey

26 August 2012

"Hello to all at Monkey World. Just like to thank you for all you do. It is quite unusual to see so much kindness and compassion on TV and you all certainly give us an insight into our own human behaviour.

My wife and I only began watching when BBC news was completely filled with Olympic items and since neither of us are competitive or ambitious, or nationalistic for that matter, we stumbled onto Monkey Life and were instantly captured.

So thank you once again and we sincerely hope to see you again."

T. Grecofilia

30 July 2012

"As a family we are avid fans of Monkey Life on Animal Planet and were lucky enough to visit the park  on Saturday. I just want to take the opportunity of saying what a fantastic park you have. All the primates seem so well cared for and have fantastic enclosures, most better than anything seen at mainstream zoo's.

It was great to see our favourite characters - Bart, Sally, Lulu, Oshine (star of the show and how well she is now looking!), Tuan and Amy. Not to forget Silvestre who we adopted for our daughter prior to visiting.

May you keep up the amazing work that you do and we hope that we may get the chance to visit again."

F. Airey

28th July 2012

"Hello, I am just emailing to say thank you for a wonderful day. Me, my sister and our kids really enjoyed ourselves. The park felt comfortable and relaxed, it was well laid out so all the monkeys and apes could be seen and the staff were all friendly and welcoming.

The information boards were clear and easy to read for the children. It was lovely to see how relaxed, healthy and happy all the animals are now, considering what they have all been through. The park enclosures were clean, tidy and well kept. The smoking areas were great (and I smoke). It was nice not to see cigarette butts everywhere.

Lastly I have to mention the prices. They were brilliant. Most parks charge stupid money for everything. But your entrance fees, buying lunch and ice creams were all within our budget. We didn't have to over spend, not like on a lot of days out. I will certainly be passing on to others what a wonderful and worthwhile day out visiting Monkey World is. Once again thank you, and look forward to visiting you again."

K Beaumont

 28 July 2012

"Following my visit I just wanted to say how wonderful and amazed I was during my visit. Sure you get lots of messages saying this but to actually appreciate how vast and how difficult a job you all do to achieve this has left me totally speechless. It was the most strangest of days that left me feeling slightly schizophrenic to use a better phrase, the sadness and happiness of seeing these crazy, funny, beautiful and sometimes loony creatures is something I don't think I appreciated until seeing them in the flesh. Please never stop doing what you do so well. Thank you once again and I am off to start my first bit of campaigning starting off easy with the collecting of towels and linen, let's see where I end up."

T. Beales

18 July 2012

"Just had to thank you for an amazing day out last Wednesday. We were down in the Poole area on holiday and had planned days out with Monkey World being second on the list. Well what an amazing place, you should all be extremely proud at what has been acheived. Thank you again, will certainly be promoting Monkey World as a place to visit."

G. Holdsworth

17 July 2012

"Yesterday my granddaughter and I visited for the first time, we were so impressed by the cleanliness of the whole park, everything was excellent, the food prices were very reasonable and to be honest I was dreading the cost of lunch but to your credit it didn't break the bank so we could spend more on gifts.  We found all the primates happy and well cared for and living in clean conditions, something you don't see in our local zoo, so thank you again for such a wonderful and educating visit, we can't wait to return.  Thank you."

V. Lingwood

6 July 2012

"May I just take this opportunity to thank Monkey World for a great day out on 4th July 2012, for my daughters birthday, all staff on site were friendly and helpful, the sight of all the rescued apes and monkeys really hit home how cruel and un-educated people around the world are. We have total respect for what you do, and will continue to support Monkey World, good luck to you all in the future and once again, thanks to you all."

N. Burgess

2 June 2012

"I just wanted to say thank you for making my dad's day at Monkey World on 28th May very special, he really enjoyed it and he adopted a monkey too.  He will cherish the memories he made forever. We did the tour on the golf buggy with Mike who was excellent explaining the tour to us.   Thank you once again."

A. Brooksbank

31 May 2012

"I just wanted to say a very, very big "thank you" to you all for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary celebrations so lovely - it made the day so memorable for us all because of the very special venue, the excellent catering (the buffet was delicious and so exsquisitely presented - and the morning and afternoon refreshments were equally outstanding with lovely juices and tasty pastries and cakes) and the beautifully decorated room and seating area (we loved the surprise banenr with a personal mesage to us both) was so pretty. Excellent all round - we were so happy!"

29 May 2012

"Just a quick note to say thanks for the fantastic treatment given by your first aider yesterday.

Within our group we had a young man who required attention twice - both responses were quick, professional and sensitively handled - a real credit to your staff.

Please pass on our thanks to him from Dorchester Middle School."

R. Howard

 25 May 2012

"My daughter has been a fan of the show for many years and it had been a dream of hers to visit Monkey World and meet the stars of the show. How lucky we were to come to Dorset on holiday and find out we could come and see you. Wow! What a fantastic day we all had. The whole experience was far beyond my expectations. All of the inhabitants were so well cared for and the enclosures immaculate in fact the whole place was beautifully kept. We found the staff very helpful and the talks they gave were very informative.

How you have made life liveable for the poor animals is something to be very proud of. Thank you so much."

"To all the team at Monkey World,

On Sunday 6th May my husband took me to Monkey World as a gift for our first wedding anniversary.  I had wanted to visit the park for many years, and when I finally got to go it was even better than I thought it would be!  I was truly touched by what is clearly a very worthwhile and sepcial cause, and I hope that the park can continue to rescue primates for many more years.

My husband has already sorted out my gift for our second anniversary by sponsoring one of the chimps!

Thank you again, and good luck for the future."

"Just like to say a big THANK YOU for a very enjoyable visit to you recently.  Very informative and friendly.  Despite the obvious atrocities that these animals had suffered, we felt that your sanctuary was a very positive place to visit.  Thanks once again."

"I arranged for my mum to have a keeper tour for her birthday and last Wednesday myself, my husband and my mum came along for the tour.  We were absolutely thrilled when we realised that it was Mike doing the tour.  I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you because it really made my mum's day.  We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and could have spent all day listening to Mike.  Can't wait for our next trip to Monkey World.  Keep up the good work xx"

"Hello I am writing to say a massive thank you for all your great work and love and beauty you all have for saving such beautiful animals.  I am an animal lover and would do anything to help all animals in need.  I've been watching your show on TV now for some timenow and every time I still cry when I see their faces looking around and playing, my tears of happiness and sadness, happy seeing them so happy and feeling safe, and tears for knowing what some of them have been through.  And then I think about those poor babies seeing their mummy get killed it's so not right, and if you ever need any one to help in any way then I would be grateful to help in any way I can.  Thank you all and thank you for being true real people who have much love to these beautiful amazing monkeys."

"Just to say we had a fab time on Thursday and the kid for a quid deal is brilliant. I have 4 kids and cant usually afford to bring them all to Monkey World but this deal allowed us all to get in for £15!  Fabulous and a really good idea for larger families. Thank you!!

The monkeys were very entertaining especially the small orangutan - he/she was hilarious!

Only recommendation would be a 'tea shop/hut' at the furthest point by the park. There are loads of picnic benches and a tea hut there for the parents would be brilliant while they sit and watch the kids play!"

"I would just like to say an enormous thank you to Mike and all the team at Monkey World.  My boyfriend and I have just returned after our third visit.  this one being for my 40th birthday.  It was made somuch better as my boyfriend had arranged a guided tour.  the tour was taken by mike who was fantastic and as I tried to contain my excitement at Mike actually taking the tour he took us around the park and gave us loads of information which was brilliant.  your park is my favourite place in the world and I hope to come back and see my adoptive children the woollies as often as I can.  please Alison, Jeremy and all your team keep up the good work that you do... It is truly breathtaking and inspiring xx"

"My wife and I vistsed Monkey world on Sunday. Despite living only 20 miles away this is the first time we have been but we will certainly be coming back. It is one of the best Animal sanctury/zoo's we have been to. The animals all have so much room and great houses, the park was clean and tidy, and i was nice to see an abundance of keepers looking after the animals.

Please keep up the good work. This is an excellent facility for both the 'monkeys' you care for and the general public to visit."

"Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to say how much my friends and I enjoyed our visit to Monkey World on Saturday.  As a little girl I fell in love with monkeys at London Zoo, now a pensioner - that love has never faded.  How wonderful to see these beautiful animals in such conditions, and so happy.  We were also impressed by how reasonable your prices are in the cafeteria - and for our ice creams, and no charge to hire a mobility scooter.

Please can you say a big thank you to all the staff for being so kind and helpful to us - and more importantly for showing how much they love and care for my beloved monkeys - Bless you all."

"My husband and I visited the park on Wednesday 19 October 2011.  This was our first visit but it will not be our last.  We have followed events at the park since it first appeared on our TV screens.  It was during the first series that I fell in love with Charlie, so much so that my husband adopted Charlie for my birthday,  I was heartbroken when Charlie died and I had not managed to visit the park while he was alive.  I have not adopted since as I have been unable to decide who I wanted to adopt.  During our visit I was hoping it would be easy to make this decision but it only made it harder.  I know it does not really matter who it is as money raised through adoption all goes into the same pot, but it is always nice to say "that's the one I adopt".  I thin I have narrowed it down to four, Sally, Gordon, Bart or Silvestre.  I will make the decision by my next birthday.

The main reason for this e-mail is to convey our congratulations.  We were extremely impressed with how well the park is set out and how clean and well kept both the enclosures and the surrounding areas are.  Also how happy the primates appear.

As I have already said, Charlie was my favourite chimp and I was very sad when he died.  Visiting the park this week allowed me to visit Jim and Charlie's memorial statue, I found this to be a very peaceful place and felt I was able to pay my respects to Charlie, a chimp who had a good end to his hard life, and also to Jim who was a very special man and who is a sad loss to this world.

Once again I would like to say well done for all the hard work you and your team do, it is through people like you, with your dedication that primates like the ones in your park can look forward to a better quality of life.

Thank you."

"Dear all at Monkey World,

Me and my 6 year old daughter came to visit on Wednesday 5th October, we had a great day out.  It was great to meet most of the apes/monkeys we've been watching for so long on Monkey Life.

We also met Jeremy and Mike who were very welcoming and gave their time to talk to us even with their busy load.

We came all the way from Southport on the train with my heavy red suitcase full of bedding and evening primrose, which I hope you find useful.

I would also like to say that we also enjoyed our dinner that we had at the Treetops Cafe it was really tasty.

I think you all do a really great job and hope to come and visit again in the new year.

All the best."

"My family and I visited you today, and I feel I must tell you how fantastic our day was.  We had such a great time.  All the staff we met were so helpful polite and efficient.  The grounds were spotless.  The habitats clean, superbly thought out.  Play areas exciting and well maintained.  Last and most importantly, all the primates are so obviously happy, healthy and stimulated.  Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity for such a fantastic day.  The Day Family x"

"Hi, I just felt I needed to drop you an email to say thank you very much for a great day we had on 5/9 at Monkey World but more important that help and support my disabled partner and myself got from your staff, first discounted entry price for her and myself as her carer, also the free disabled scooter hire that we wasn't aware of until the lovely man at the front gate pointed out to us, we managed to see much more this time and stay the whole day.

Well done again Monkey World and you're very helpful staff, and thanks again, see you soon"

"I made my annual visit in the last week of August.  Well I made two visits and I was so pleased to see all my furry friends.  I found my brick and was so pleased where it had been placed - Hananya's group, near a seat, it couldn't have been better.  Well done.

On my second visit I had the pleasure of shaking Jeremy's hand when he came to see Sally and the youngsters to put them to bed.  Sally was so excited to see him.  It was the nearest I have been to Sally as she was sitting at the window and I realised how beautiful she is, she was so pleased to see Jeremy that she was almost singing.  It was such a moving experience for me and several others watching.

I also spent a lot of time looking at Oshine, and her weight loss is amazing.  One time she was asleep on the floor, she was so tired.  You must be really proud of her.

Last year I got to speak to Mike - such a nice man, this year Jeremy and hopefully Alison and then I will be in 7th Heaven!

Keep up the good work.  And roll on next year!"

"Hi would just like to say how much I enjoyed my visit to Monkey World twice on holiday.  Came from Fife just to see my favourite monkeys, which I did see apart from Gordon.  The best part of all was getting my photo taken with Jeremy after reading his book was so grateful to him thank you.  Will be visiting again soon I hope.  Thank you again for a wonderful experience."

19 September 2011

"Dear Monkey World,

For many years I have been wanting to visit Monkey World but the opportunity for one reason or another never presented itself.  However on Saturday I finally waslked through your gates with a huge smile on my face.  I was not disappointed (not that I was expecting to be).

My husband has watched many of the programmes from the television series over the years with me, but I have been a regular viewer since it began.  Therefore to finally see so many of the characters ther in front of us was a real treat for us both.

The park itself is a huge credit to you all, from the primate care staff, to the vets, to the people who maintain all the enclosures, and everyone in between.  Alison and Jeremy you should be very proud in what you have and continue to achieve.

The enclosures are so vast, and the residents so well cared for.  If you opened the gates and to them all "ok off you go", none of them would leave.  Why would they?  You offer them a home that is secure and safe but one that allows them to live with their own kind under their rules.

All the staff we came into contact with were very pleasant and welcoming, please convey this to all who worked on Saturday (Sept 17th).  We managed to plan the day to get all the primate talks except one.  All the staff did an excellent job, very knowledgeable and informative.  Once again well done.

The memorial statue of Jim and Charlie was a must see for me, it was a very touching and moving sculpture.

Our travel costs to visit Monkey World were just under £150.  The entrance fee was exceptional value, as was the £5 brochure and the gift shop drew me in like a magnet.  Needless to say we didn't leave empty handed.  Although we spent a fare bit of money on our day out, my husband and I both agreed it was money well spent.  We are already talking about visiting again, and with your 25th anniversary pending next year, 2012, seems a good time to go.  Whilst many people will be talking about visiting the Olympic Stadium, for us it will be your park.

Many thanks Monkey World, you gave us both a super day out."

"One of our favourite summer outings with the kids this year was to Monkey World.  Given we were going slap bang in the school holidays, we were pleasantly surprised by how hassle free and easy our day was.  There was ample (free) car parking, and admission into the grounds was quick, easy, and reasonably priced in comparison to other such venues.

We were instantly struck by the size of the park and the huge amount of work that has gone into making it such a success.  The monkey enclosures are amazing, and the space and quality of the facilities that all the primates have is certianly impressive, with access to indoor and outdoor areas where you can track their movements... if they want you to that is!  There is a huge number of primate species to see, and the Orang-utan 'nursery' enclosure was certainly a family favourite!

Very poignant is the wonderful memorial statue of Jim Cronin - a beautifully designed piece of art which is a very touching tribute to his outstanding dedication and remarkable work.

We felt that Monkey World certainly accommodates all the family, with wonderful facilities including decent eating establishments and picnic areas, a well-stocked shop that you might have trouble getting your kids out of, and some truly top quality play areas that your kids might have trouble getting you out of!

Overall we enjoyed a really great day there and would certainly recommend it as a family trip.. thank you Monkey World and keep up the great work!"

"Hi Monkey World!

My family visited Monkey World only yesterday and I just had to write and say a big thank you to all of the staff there.  I have a disabled daughter in a wheelchair and she was greeted and given so much help and assistance.  She particularly loved the special swings that she could use in her wheelchair and the maintenance man who was kind enough to let her in and out.  This is a facility I have never seen before so thanks for your foresight, it means a lot.  The monkeys themselves were a huge hit with my children, its fabulous to see them so content and cared for especially as so many of them had such a poor start in life.  Keep up the good work, we'll be back to see you soon!"

"I visited Monkey World last week and had to write to say thank you, congratulations and well done.

I have been to many animal parks and zoos in my 40 years and I have to say Monkey World is the best by far.  The work you all do is commendable.  The monkeys are amazing, beautiful, funny and endearing,  The enclosures are the next best thing to the wild.  Information offered about each individual monkey, their species and their natural life and habitat is fantastic.  I have watched your tv programmes for years and could not wait to visit.  I was not disappointed and hope to return one day.  In the mean time congratulations and well done best wishes to all the gang."

"Hi,

We have just arrived back at our hotel (Deerleap) just about a mile down the road form you after what can only be described as a wonderful day.

It's our 40th Wedding Anniversary today and my daughter had organised a tour for us and also a scooter for me to get around.  Jennifer our guide was really amazing and we got so much information about the park from that that we're still processing it!  The size of the park is incredible and although I love Monkey Life on TV, until you experience the gibbons singing to each other and the sounds of the other animals, you don't fully appreciate just how amazing the place is.

We've been trying to organise this trip for years and always something gets in the way so now we have seen it I'm just totally gobsmacked at how wonderful and special the place is.  Seeing the memorial to Jim brought tears to my eyes and seeing him with Charlie is just right, you couldn't have used a better photo to take that from.

I'm just going to download my photos from the camera and if I've got any really good ones I'll send them along.  We've adopted Silvestre today so he's another of my adopted sons like Seamus.

We SHALL come back again but this time we won't get lost on the way... bad directions from the AA! LOL

Thanks again to EVERYONE at the Park for helping us you are a brilliant crowd and also THANK YOU FOR THE anniversary card... Jennifer said it was Mike that signed it... pity I never met them but maybe next time.

Love and huggles."

"I wish to tell you what an amazing day we (group of family and friends) had when we visited on Wednesday, 10th August.  I have been yearning to visit Monkey World for some years but, being disabled, am reliant on others.

Finally, a date was arranged and my niece organised it all.

The whole expreeince was marvellous and totally lived up to expectations.  We had booked a guided tour and this was the crowning glory to the day.  jane was our guide and she was excellent.  Even members of the group who only came to make me happy became interested na dinvolved due to her expert knowledge.  Jane added the extra edge to a great day and I would like to commend her most highly.

I am desperate to return to Monkey World (orangs have always been my favourite and even more so now) and would be delighted for another tour with Jane.

Thank you for the marvellous work you all do.  Hope that I can see you soon."

"Just had to let you know, just back from my 1st visit to Monkey World.  It took us 10 hours to get there but was well worth it.  I had already adopted Seamus previously so decided to go or someone else this time.  When I saw Lulu and read about her I had a cry then decided she had to be the one.  My friend also gave me money to adopt one for her so I chose Bryan - another awful story.  I absolutely adore monkeys and thank goodness for people like yourselves, keep up the great work you all do and Alison you are a truly wonderful person, I'm sure Jim must be so proud of you looking down from Heaven.  God bless."

"I first came to Monkey World today and I was amazed at what you have done here.  I found it a very emotional experience which surprised me as I have not been particularly involved with any animal welfare in the past.  I wanted to tell you how impressive I think it is - the facilities are fantastic, it is good value for money, and most of all the animals there were just beautiful.

Thank you for an amazing day and I will be visiting again very soon."

"After seeing Monkey World on TV, I finally got there on Sunday 17th July 2011.

We had a wonderful 5hrs at the Park.  We started in the Treetops restaurant where we had an excellent burger and chips, served by VERY pleasant staff, also from a lady in the kitchen area, who helped me with some mayonnaise, she couldn't have been more helpful.

We found the park such a special place to be, we were SO VERY impressed with the space and the play things you have given the monkeys.

As we entered the park we noticed the number of mobility scooters you have, on the way round the brilliant children's play areas, and clean toilets, everyone so well catered for.

As we sat by the Buddha in the wood a lady from your educational staff spoke to us, she was lovely and spent quite some time with us, answering all our questions willingly, we really appreciated that - a lovely finish to our visit."

"Just a quick email to say thank you for the great visit we had today.  It was an amazing experience to see such incredible animals up close, and the talks were really informative and interesting.  You do some amazing work, and bring it home that an ideal world would be one in which Monkey World doesn't have to exist. Keep up the good work!"

"Thank you for the lovely day we spent at Monkey World on Wednesday.  The animals were a real treat and it was good to recognise so many of them from the tv programme.

It was great to see smiles and grins on children and more especially grown ups and the remarks when bodily functions were observed (whis is that?!!)

we have moved from the nort west and I bought my husband a woolly monkey for his birthday.  We look forward to many more happy AND informative visits.

The staff were good and the whole place was spotless.

Our very best wishes to you all.  The work you do is amazing."

"For my 50th birthday, my work colleagues, knowing how much I love Monkey World, adopted me a primate, bought me a plaque in the Walk of Thanks and paid for a guided tour.  On Tuesday, myself and 6 friends travelled up to see the plaque and take the tour.  I would just like to say that we had the most fantastic time and even though I have been many times before and watched all the tv series, having our guide taught me so much more, she was a lovely lady.  From now on to anyome I know who intends visiting yourselves I am going to recommend they go in a large group and book a tour."

"Dear All,

We just had to write to say what a wonderful day out we enjoyed at Monkey World today.  From the staff at the gate right through to all the staff we met around the park, everyone was so friendly and helpful.

And then there were the primates.  What a fantastic experience.  The care, love and attention you all give to them was so evident from the way they all behaved, just as if they were in their natural habitat.

We will certainly visit again soon.  Once again, our thanks for a most memorable day."

"Have just returned from a recent visit to Monkey World and wanted to let you know what a fantastic time me and my family had.  I have wanted to visit Monkey World for years after seeing it on the TV.  But it is even better being there in real life.  I couldn't resist buying several items in the gift shop and I even came away adopting Sally.  Thank you for providing such a lovely place for people to visit and for all the hard work you do rescuing all those animals.  Thank you once more."

"We visited for the first time on Sunday.  We had such an amazing day.  Our adopted son loved the idea of "adopting" a primate as they had experienced similar treatment to him and that other people want to help those in need whether it be animals or humans - he is globally delayed and special needs and this has helped him understand and relate to the animals.

Ironically every time we came to a viewing window the chimpanzees and orang-utans came to the windows so we have some fantastic pictures.  He is planning a presentation to his class on the work done there it has inspired him so much.

We would like to congratulate you on an amazing place and the work you do."

"Hello, my husband and I brought our four children to Monkey World last Sunday and I just wanted to write to say what a lovely day we had.  My husband and I came many years ago without kids, so we knew the background etc.  The kids loved the monkeys and found it educational - one of my daughters is going to talk to the school council about the idea of a school trip!  We also really enjoyed the play area (both looked good but we used the one at the back of the park).  We don't usually use play areas at this sort of place, as the point is to look at the animals, but we really had fun because some of the equipment is suitable for adults - such as the long swing thing that about ten people can stand on.  This meant we could all play on it together.  We were also impressed that you did not have to go through the shop to get out and we did not feel pressured to constantly buy things.  We did spend in the shop - we have 4 girls so it is impossible not to!

Again, many thanks."

"Just wanted to say thank-you for providing an excellent visitor experience.

I visited Monkey World on Thursday 28-04-11 along with my wife and two young children.

We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent with you.  All the staff were so friendly and helpful it really enhanced the experience and so nice not to feel ripped off in the gift shop.

We have seen the television series following your work in the UK and across the world and have wanted to come and make a personal visit for a long time.  Our expectations were well and truly satisfied and we will certainly visit again in the future.

Keep up the good work."

"Hi, I visited Monkey World yesterday, what a fantastic place.  I've seen all the shows on TV, but it was lovely to actually be there, I was amazed at how peaceful it was, but to see all the primates was fantastic.  Especially my favourite the stump-tailed macaques.  What a wonderful life they all have now.  I think all the hard work by Alison and everyone who works there are just fantastic.  Keep up the good work."

21 April 2011

"Hi, Today I visited Monkey World with my two young children and my mum.  Unfortunately my mum got taken rather poorly and just at the point that she was about to faint on me the first aider just appeared from nowhere and asked if we needed help.  I could not have managed with the situation on my own with the children without him.  He managed to get mum safely to the first aid unit and ensured that the appropriate medical attention was given and quite rightly ensured that the ambulance service checked mum over before our long drive home.  Thankfully she is fine now and too much sun and existing medical conditions were the problem.  Please can you ensure that the first aider is commended for his actions today, the situation could have been so much worse without his timely appearance especially for my children seeing their nanny taken so poorly.

We have always been avid supporters of everything you do at Monkey World and this has just added yet another great big tick to what a wonderful, well rganised and safe place it is to be.

I can't thank you enough."

"We took my mum to Monkey World yesterday to see Silvestre the Orangutan who we'd adopted for her birthday.

We've been many times before and I'm always struck by what a wonderful place Monkey World is.  It's really obvious how much everyone working there cares, and all the primates seem so genuinely happy and content.  All that just makes it such a happy place to be and to walk around.

On a personal note - Jim Cronin is a big imspiration to me and its great to see the place growing and flourishing in his memory.

Thanks again and nice work!"

"Hello to all at Monkey World.

We visited the rescue centre on Saturday 16th April with our grand children and would like to thank you all for the wonderful work you do there, so nice to see the animals so relaxed and comfortable.

It was good to meet such pleasant and helpful staff as well, especially the staff in the small vehicles who have to drive around the site, they waited patiently for visitors to move out of their way before they drove on, it all made for a lovely day out.

So a big thank you to each and every one of you."

Just wanted to say a big thank you as we visited Monkey World last Tuesday.  My son is 5 and severely disabled and he loved it all but especially the wheelchair swing.  Please can you pass on our thanks to the staff who were so helpful especially when we asked for assistance in using the swing.

Many thanks."

"My girlfriend has watched your TV programme for what seems like ever, so, I adopted "Rodders" for her last Christmas.  I had no idea where it would lead.  For a birthday treat, we drove down from Durham over night last Friday to arrive just before opening.  How tired we were!!  Anyway, we went straight to the nursery to be greeted by none other than "Rodders and Bryan" at the window.  Our day just couldn't get any better.  It did.  Having walked around taking pics of Sally, Lulu, Ash and the two guys we headed off in search of the rest of the gang from T.V.  To cut a long happy story short it was my girlfriend who said "we have to go" to which I replied "we can't, I want to see Rodders again" and must admit a tear or two came to my eye at the thought of leaving.  My girlfriend eventually dragged me away as were planning to go to Plymouth the following morning.  No, I suggested we visit Monkey World again, so we did.  This time we left before lunch but with just as big smiles on our faces than the day before.  Only this time, before we got to the car we were talking about the next time we could get down to see the gang.  So until next time, a big THANK YOU for a fantastic time and all the hard work you guys do. XX to you all."

"Dear all at Monkey World,

I visited Monkey World with my mum and brother last Tuesday, 29th March.  I had waited a long time for this visit and adopted the woolly monkeys for my birthday in November.  It took us 2 days to travel all the way from the Isle of Lewis in the North West of Scotland especially to visit Monkey World, and we had a fantastic time.  It was brilliant to hear the gibbons calling in the morning when we 1st arrived.  My favourite monkey is Paulo and my brother adopted Jin on this visit.  We loved the park and the space and how great the enclosures were for all the monkeys.  It is the best animal park we have ever been to.  We went back for another visit on Thursday 31st March and didn't want to leave.  It was great to see some familiar faces from the programme in the staff who were all very helpful and nice.  We didn't get to see Tuan and his group and hope that we can return to see them and the new orang-utan enclosure.  We brought lots of souvenirs, photos and memories home with us.

Thank you for a wonderful time and for taking care of the monkeys."

"I had the most wonderful day out at Monkey World and it was fantastic to see all the primates in the flesh.  They are really the most amazing creatures and I loved each and every one of them.  I owe a big thank you to Shelley and Alison for making my trip so very special.

Monkey World has to be one of the most worthwhile causes that I have ever seen and I feel privileged and proud to be part of the campaign to help raise awareness for them.

Keep up the good work guys and girls."

"I just had to write, having visited Monkey World with my husband last weekend - his first visit (once I'd given him a taster watching 'Monkey Life').  We spent 5 wonderful hours with you, and left feeling up-lifted.  I believe I know why: so often when we have visited zoos or animal parks, we have left feeling sorry for those whose life has to be spent there; not at Monkey World.  Everything about it is planned for the apes and monkeys FIRST, then for the visitors.  These 'relatives' of ours who have been so badly treated by (I'm ashamed to be associated with them) my fellow human beings that they can not possibly return to their natural environment, have been given a home at Monkey World where they can truly 'live', not just exist.

Thank you so much for what you do.  If I lived closer, I would be volunteering with you like a shot (if you'd have me!).

Can you please also thank your cafe staff?  The food we had was really well cooked, beautifully presented and good value for money.

In all you have 2 new devoted 'fans'!"

"Having visited Monkey World several times, it is only now as I have grown up to become a young adult, that  truly appreciate all the work that everyone at Monkey World does.

I am truly disgusted that we, the human race can treat any animal in this way!  I am also moved by all the work that all the staff of Monkey World do to rehabilitate these primates!

I have recently visited, and am amazed at how these primates can seem happy and enjoy their lives after all the abuse that they have suffered, at the hands of humans.  I especially liked Oshine the Orang-utan, she truly has an amazing personality, and is beautiful, this was shown to us, when she came over to say hello, it was almost as if she was smiling!

Thank you for all you do, you truly are an inspiration to us all!"

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you following our visit to your rescue centre last week.  Please say a particularly big thank you to Mike for giving us a wonderful, informative guided tour and for making Steve's birthday surprise extra-special.

We'd travelled down from Lancashire to visit your rescue centre ad it was well worth the effort.  It was our first time, but hopefully not our last.  The monkeys all seemed so happy and well cared for and their antics had us in stitches.

Your staff are obviously very dedicated and love what they do.  please keep up the good work!"

"To Alison and Jeremy and all the staff.

Just wanted to say a huge thankyou for an enjoyable day spent at Monkey World last week, my first visit.

I have been a big fan of the programme and all you do to help primates around the world.

It was lovely to see Lulu, and the capuchin monkeys you rescued and many others that i recognised formthe programme.

I thought the site was beautifully clean and all the primates looked so well cared for and in such good condition.  A credit to you and your staff.

We had a lovely meal in the cafe, the food was hot and tasty, simple and nicely done.

Al the staff we spoke to were polite and happy to chat and answer our questions.

I hope you don't mind my writing, only I know feedback is always nice especially when it is positive feedback, and I felt I wanted to give credit where credit was due."

"We would like to say a huge thanks you to Sue and Monkey World for wonderful guided tour yesterday.  Although very boisterous our little boy Harry talked all the way back to our holiday home about the monkeys.  This was definitely one of the best of our many trips to your wonderful park.

Please make sure you pass on our thanks to Sue, she was excellent especially with Harry (aged two and three quarters)!  Looking forward to seeing you all again in April next year, keep up your amazing work and a very happy Christmas!"

"We have been adopters since 2004 and have visited many times since that time.  We wish to express our extreme delight we felt after our visit last Saturday.

We always do the round of talks from 12.00 noon until 3.00pm but have never been so enthralled as we were on Saturday.  Every one of your speakers gave us an excellent 20 minutes of their expert knowledge.

Many many congratulations also on your new areas for the capuchins and macaques we had a fantastic day out yet again.

Many thanks."

"It isn't very often that I feel I should put pen to paper but this time I felt I should.

We visited last Saturday afternoon and had a lovely time.  We have followed the exploits on the tv of some of the characters and it was delightful to see them in real life and be familiar with their enclosures.

The entrance fee is very reasonable compared to "animal parks".  The facilities were great and the staff that we met were very friendly and knowledgeable.  An improvement could be to provide tiered seating to enable the public to sit and watch the behaviour of the apes for longer than just a few minutes.  I know we would have found that useful.

Thank you so much for such a great afternoon.  Hopefully, we will be able to come again."

"Having watched the tv series, then adopted, but had never been, finally last week we made it.  In fact we visited 3 times, having found a cottage at Broadmayne off of your website, which was superb in every way.

Monkey World is an absolutely wonderful place for all the apes, how nice it was to see them free, and having a quality of life second to none, now, after all they have been through.  The memorial to Jim almost brought tears to our eyes, what a great man, and we hope Alison will keep going forever.

We hope the 2000 odd evening primrose oil capsules were handy, they were given with great love, and we will do what we can for you in the future.  Thanks to all your staff because all we spoke to were so happy to chat and answer our questions.

We wish you all the very best for the winter months, and will visit again as soon as we can - thank you all again so much for what you do, and the pleasure it gave us to visit."

"Hi.  We visited Monkey World on 17th October 2010 while on a weekend break in Weymouth.  We had a fantastic day out at the sanctuary and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.  Apart from loving all the primates, all the staff were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in answering all our many questions.  We also had the great pleasure of adopting Gordon the orang-utan whom we have seen many times on your TV programme and look forward to receiving our information packs and updates on him.  We will certainly be returning to Monkey World and would recommend it to anyone for an extremely enjoyable day out.

Many thanks to everyone."

"I just wanted to let you know how much we all enjoyed our recent visit to Monkey World.  We were staying in Sandford and spent the day with you last Tuesday.

There was something for each one of our group to enjoy.  We thought it was good value for money, clean, entertaining and informative.  My friend and I said we could happily spend a week there as it was so fascinating.

Thank you for such a wonderful experience and may your work bring comfort and hope to many more monkeys."

"Hi,

Just wanted to say my wife and I visited for the first time yesterday and we were delighted to see the primates come before the visitors which is just how it should be. Everything is geared to the wellbeing of the animals and we were so pleased to see it that way.  Other places we have seen over the years cater for the visitors but at Monkey World the habitat and environment is as natural as possible.  Well done indeed!"

"I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say a big thank you for the great birthday party you gave me last Saturday, 18th September.

Everyone was so impressed with the level of service from your staff, the food and room were great and we had an excellent day.

The party was a great start to my 50's!  I will thoroughly recommend you to anyone who is thinking of planning a day out and we will be back again soon to spend a day with the primates."

"Thank you for a truly great day out yesterday (Wednesday 22nd).  A wonderful experience.  The park is so clean and tidy it made the visit so much more pleasurable.  May I say that the choice of site for the Jim Cronin Memorial was absolutely perfect.

Many thanks - keep up the good work!"

"Just a note to say THANK YOU!

A huge thank you, in fact, to everyone who made my visit to Monkey World so amazing.  I've so much respect and admiration for everything that you all achieve and stand for.  Providing a world class and inspirational safe haven and retirement home for these incredible creatures.  The brilliant, seamless blending of private rescue endeavours and public viewing and involvement is the key to the park's success.  All your knowledge and determination coupled with absolute committment to, and safe guarding of, these primates is amazing.  Thank you.

Most of all, I am honoured to be supporting the primate adoption scheme."

"I am just e-mailing to say thank you for a wonderful day.  We were on holiday in Dorset and I said I was not leaving until I had visited Monkey World.  What a super day we had the weather was great and the centre was great.  You do such a wonderful job with all the primates they all look so happy and I believe they are because of the care they receive from you all.  Thanks again for a wonderful time and I can guarantee we will return.  Keep up the good work."

"To all at Monkey World,

I just wanted to drop a line after my first visit to Monkey World.  I have been a huge fan of Monkey Business then Monkey Life and have wanted to visit for such a long time.  I finally got the opportunity to visit last Sunday.  Following an accident I became physically disabled 3 years ago and have such great difficulties walking but the efforts you have put in to ensure good access to the disabled is superb.

I was able to use one of your motorised scooters without which I would have been limited in how much I could see.  I was also very impressed to see that in your children's playground you have swings for disabled children.  It is fantastic that whilst doing all your amazing work in rescuing primates that you have also considered so well the disabled.  You get a huge thumbs up from me.  Whilst some places do the bare minimum you have gone further than most, thank you so very much.

In addition to the above, the work you do in rescuing all these amazing creatures is wonderful.  You can wonder if TV filming only edits in the good bits but it was obvious when visiting that you have truly happy primates well done and long may you thrive.

With the kindest regards and looking forward to the new series."

"We have recently returned from a weeks' holiday in Wareham, Dorset and whilst we were there we paid a visit to Monkey World at the request of our daughters who are 10 and 6.  I wanted to write to say what a fantastic day we all had and what a marked impression your rescue centre has had on me.  I have never been a great fan of zoos in general, as I often feel saddened that the animals have been removed from their natural habitat, although I do appreciate the excellent work that many zoos are involved in.  However, although many of the stories I read of the dreadful lives the residents of Monkey World have experienced, I couldn't help but feel a great sense of joy at seeing them finally getting to lead the lives that they so greatly deserve.

Our daughters had a wonderful day and it obviously made an impression on them too.

Our thanks to you once again and we wish you every success in the continued good work that you do.  We look forward to visiting you again soon."

"Dear All at Monkey World.

I have four young children (ages 5, 7, 9 and 11) who watch regularly your programme on TV, following the antics of Sally, Gordon and Carli, and not forgetting all of the others there.  We visited Monkey World today, so that they could meet them in person, and they had the most wonderful day possible.  The hardest part was, who would they go and find first.

Thank you all, for all of the work that you are doing for the monkeys and for making my boys' day."

"I had the pleasure of visiting Monkey World yesterday on what I gather was your busiest day for a couple of years!!

I have long been a visitor and supporter of your work being an adoptive mother to Cherri and the proud owner of a "Brick".

My aim yesterday was to visit my brick but also brought down a friend and her daughter - I had secretly bought my friend a brick too!!

I also managed to set up a guided tour as a surprise - having read about it in the last newsletter.  Many thanks to Charlotte who co-ordinated my request via phone on Monday and got back to me on Tuesday with the great news that there was one.

However, biggest thanks go to Val.  What a great tour we had - my 2 guests thought the whole day was excellent and came away with so much more knowledge - as did I.

I absolutely love the work you do and the place that you all have continued to provide after Jim.

Thank you for making the day even more special than usual."

"Just to say a big Thank you for a fantastic day out last weekend.  I have wanted to visit for ages and the trip was certainly worth it.  To see the primates so close was a wonderful experience.  Keep up your good work.  Can't wait to visit again."

"Just thought I'd drop you a mail to say how much everyone enjoyed the day out at Monkey World.

Thank you so much for making our day so enjoyable.  Can you please pass on my thanks to Mike for his wonderful talk.  I have never seen everyone so still and attentive!!  The DVD was excellent as although I had told everyone about the park and how it came into being, it was good for them to see first hand the wonderful work that has been and continues to be done by Alison and her wonderful team at Monkey World.

I would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks to the guys that provided the Hog Roast.  Pig has never tasted so good!!! Also, Craig and his team did a wonderful job taking care of our every need, so please give them a big thank you.

It just remains for me to give you a BIG THANK YOU for all your efforts to make our day so memorable."

"Alison, Jeremy, Mike and all staff,

I finally had my golden opportunity of visiting Monkey World on Monday August 2/10, which I have wanted to do for many years.  A friend and myself were on the Newmarket Tour from Swansea, S. Wales.

We cannot thank you and your staff enough for a wonderful day, the Park is fantastic, we met Luara what a lovely young lady and another member of your staff - both were very friendly, they both said how much they loved the work.  The amenities: washrooms pleanty of them and very clean, restaurants, cafes everything - outstanding, plus the use of electric scooters fantastic.  We walked every inch of the Park legs still aching but worth it.

My friend couldn't believe how much knowledge some of the people on the coach and myself had in relation to the names of different primates, we learned it all from watching Monkey Business and Monkey Life I still watch the repeats.  She has seen the program but wasn't into it like we were - she is now.  Sally, was doing her cleaning duties with the hose pipe and Bryan, Ash and Rodders took turns, thought Bryan was going to breal the window a few times.  lulu was outside.  All the Primates were very subdued too hot I guess no rucus just sitting quietly grooming each other.

Please take care of yourselves so that you can continue to help these wonderful primates, I know Jim is looking down on you and is very proud that you are able to continue his dream.  We saw the memorial of Jim and Charlie and both of us were very tearful, I didn't know Jim at least not in person but I feel as if I did just watching him on TV and goes for all of you.  you are all amazing in what you do please continue your wonderful work.  If I were years younger I'd apply for a job - it would be a dream job.

Thank you again for a really wonderful day, can;t stop talking about it.  i hope to come again if not this year then next."

"Hi just thought I'd drop you a line just to say what a great time we had on Tuesday.  All the animals looked happy, the food was good and great value for money, gift shop was cool, all in all we had a great time.  We had our mum with us who is terminally ill and she wanted to visit for ages, so once again I'd like to thank you for giving us a great day out.  Hope you continue to rescue and rehabilitate for years to come."

"I visited Monkey World a while ago with my disabled husband, it was a wonderful place to visit and the fact that you loan out electric wheelchairs to your visitors was fantastic.  My husband does not have an electric wheelchair as we have not found one yet that has been suitable for his disability, the best one he has tried so far was the one he used at Monkey World.

I hope we can get to visit Monkey World again, keep up your good work."

27 July 2010

"My daughters (9 & 11) have been big fans of your show for years and yesterday we finally made it to Monkey World.  I wanted to write and say thank-you.  Thank-you for helping teach my girls there is more to life than themselves and for the sanctuary.  It was so much more than any of us expected.  I hate visiting zoos but walking around your park showed how much you not only love your animals but how you try to respect their nature and environment.  My oldest daughter was so inspired that she has decided when she's older she's going to come and work for you.

What also made our trip extra special was to meet Jeremy.  He stopped signed autographs and had his pictures taken.  I hope he realises how much just taking the time to do that really can inspire the people he does that for.

So all round a big thank-you.  I know we will be back and will help you spread your message.

Warmest regards and thanks to everyone invloved in your sanctuary."

"To Everyone at Monkey World.

I have been following your progress on the Channel 5 series and today drove down from London to visit you all and see what a fantastic job you have all done in rescuing all the primates and allowing them to all live out their lives in a happy environment.

Just wanted to send this email to compliment you all on the hard work and dedication you have to give all the primates a better life and hope you will continue for many more years.

It was a fantastic experience.  Thank you so much."

"Dear Alison and Jeremy and all your lovely committed staff.

My Husband Geoff and I had a lovely visit on Tuesday 6th July.  I was really overwhelmed at the expanse of the park and the dedication of the staff.  I have watched the antics of all the residents over many years and I found it absolutely wonderful to visit/  You are doing such a wonderful job, I find it really sad that there are not many wonderful people in this world that actually want to help all the wonderful animals on our planet.  Those that are really dedicated are cut short in life in such a harsh way.  I saw the wonderful bust of Jim and Charlie it felt so lifelike, its a shame that is all that's left of that wonderful man.  You Alison are carrying on a wonderful job and I hold my hat up to you.  (I don't wear a hat, but you know what I mean).  I have sent off details for adoption and hopefully I will be visiting again soon.  Keep up the wonderful work, but can I say please take care of yourself so that you can keep on caring for all the gorgeous animals.

I don't know which of the Bachelor Boys it was, but I had a lovely few moments looking at him eye to eye through the glass and it was a truly wonderful feeling to be able to do that, such gorgeous big brown eyes.  I bought Jeremy's book and that was such an insight into why he is such a caring person for all the animal kingdom.  I find him absolutely amazing."

"Oh what a WONDERFUL day I had at Monkey World on Friday!!! I arrived at 10.15am after some trepidation at finding my way - but it turned out to be fairly straightforward via Blandford and Berre Regis... And I left at 6.15pm!!

But a good buy in the shop beforehand including Jeremy's book and a dozen postcards as well as the EXCELLENT Guide Book.  Full of inf, as in the tv programmes.

Then an electric scooter for me - it was really great and SUCH a boon, not to have to walk around 65 acres! It really added to the pleasure of the day... So all around and about the lovely centre, till 1.45pm then back to my car for my sandwiches etc and when I came back in at 2.15, there was Mike already there with the larger electric bugg.  It was SO nice to meet him in the flesh after seeing him on TV for the last nuumerous years.

I asked him if it would be possible to meet Alison, as I had a cheque which I would like to give to her in particular - if possible.  So Mike got on his talkie radio - and soon Alison came!! She happened to have a few minutes spare which was brilliant.  It was wonderful to meet her, and I told her so.  And how much I admired her work, and Jim's.  Then Alison left and Mike started his tour - and he gave an excellent tour - very informative and added to my knowledge of what I knew from the tv programmes.  It was absolutely great and well worth it.

And I had seen Jeremy earlier, but he was busy fixing bolts and things in the Orang enclosure so I hadn't bothered him - so I asked Mike if we were likely to see him again and he said yes - and there Jeremy was, 4 hours later, still hard at work.  And we had a chat through the fence, and he quite happily came out and signed his book for me, and Mike took a photo of me with Jeremy.  It was absolutely great to meet him, as he started with Jim right from the beginning and is in all the tv programmes.  Please will you tell him I did nothing on Saturday, but read his book! To the end!! What an amazing life story!!

Then after the tour and I'd said goodbye to Mike, I had a further 2 hours in the electric scooter again scampering around the site, looking at everything/  I saw so many of my favourite chimps and orangs though i had to ask the keepers to identify quite a few of them!!

So that was my WONDERFUL day! So thanks to Jackie for arranging the tour with Mike.  A great honour to meet him and Jeremy, and of course, Alison coming especially to meet me."

"We visited Monkey World recently and absolutely loved it and have recommended it to all our friends.  When we were there we experienced the children's play area with its amazing equipment - it was awesome.  We loved the long log-like swing, the whole family could fit on it... It truly was an amazing piece of equipment.

Thank you and we hope to be back to visit you soon."

"Hi,

A note to say that my sister and I visited Monkey World on Saturday 11th July a first for us after watching the series on TV over the years it was a dream come true and was everything and much more than we expected.

A massive thanks to Amanda who took us on a guided tour and gave an excellent insight into the running work and aims of Monkey World, her talk was brilliant and given in such a way we did not realise that we had learned so much until we have returned home and gone over it all in our heads, so thanks again Amanda.

Thanks to Mike and Jeremy for allowing a photo shoot.

Keep up the good work and we hope to visit again."

"We just would like to write to you to express our gratitude and glee at how amazing Monkey World is!!

We had a fabulous day out and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!  All the apes were amazing to watch and looked as if they enjoyed themselves too; and they all had wonderful homes which was good to see!

We were extremely happy to see our adoptive apes, we felt like proud parents! :) Very good value for money in the shop and cafes too (which is always nice)!!

We shall be back to visit again very soon for my birthday treat in July!!

Thank you very much to all at Monkey World!

Keep up the great work! :) xx"

"I just wanted to write and say what an amazing place this is.  We have travelled for 4-5 hours just to visit for the day and it was worth every minute.  Please, please never stop what you do for hese fantastic creatures.

Never stop helping these poor abused and neglected animals.  Jim would be so proud of your work.  I'm sure he is watching over you all.  As I'm typing this, the tears are rolling down my cheeks.  I just wish there were more people around like Alison and her team.  The world would be a much better place.

10/10 Monkey World, you're the best day out ever.  Thank you so much."

13 June 2010

"After watching many series of Monkey World on TV, we decided this year to take our family holiday in Dorset and make the long awaited trip to Monkey World, and we were not disappointed.  Why we could of easily stood there all day watching these amazing animals, at the same time felt sad that they should have to be there at all.  Why anyone would want to use or abuse these beautiful creatures is beyond me.  But thanks to all your committment and dedication, they no longer have to live in unhappiness or fear.

We were left totally captivated by the chimpanzees, and stood there for some time quietly watching them.  The lemurs, gibbons and orang-utans were lovely too, in fact every monkey we saw stole our hearts.  Our 16 month old daughter loved it too, and very much enjoyed your kids' play area, and the orang-utans were her favourite.  Although she didn't take the place in fully, it has given us a good reason to come back next year, as we think she will appreciate it a lot more then.... can't wait!!!

We ate at your restaurant and give it top marks, the whole site was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Keep up the good work, the world needs people like you."

"I arranged for my mum to have a keeper tour for her birthday and last Wednesday myself my husband and my mum came along for the tour. We were absolutely thrilled when we realised that it was Mike doing the tour. I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you because it really made my mums day. We throughly enjoyed the tour and could have spent all day listening to Mike.

Cant wait for our next trip to Monkey World. Keep up the good work xx"
