Monkeys have been a status symbol and the must-have celebrity pet for years.

The most famous pet monkey is probably Michael Jackson's chimpanzee Bubbles, bu more recently Justin Bieber and the Kardashians have adopted monkeys of their own, fuelling a growing trend to keep them as pets.

But the government wants to toughen up the laws that allow primates to be kept in the home. Nick Dixon is at a monkey sanctuary in Dorset to explain why the law change is needed.
