Monkey World assists governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild.

At the Centre refugees of this illegal trade as well as those that have suffered abuse or neglect are rehabilitated into natural living groups.

Ay! Que Bueno!

Friday 14th December 2012

Meet Bueno Junior - arguably the world's cutest monkey.

Little Bueno is one of the few woolly monkeys to ever be born in captivity, having just arrived at the Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre in Dorset, England. In fact he was born only hours after staffers realised his mother, Sara, 12 was pregnant.

"We came in one morning and the primate care staff noticed her abdomen was straining and she was having contractions," said Dr Alison Cronin, park director, who will now hand-raise Bueno after his mother rejected him.
